Hi, was watching a video on how the reflex arc works and learnt that it goes through the CNS which consists of the brain and spinal cord....5 minutes later the guy said that reflexes only go through the spinal cord and not the brain because it would cause a delay...huh? I though that they went through the CNS which is the brain and the spinal cord, so why's he now saying that reflexes only go through the brain? Thanks guys.

When you formulate a reflex action, it is so quick because it doesn't involve the brain
