So, i'm planning to leave my parents to go to school in London (from Birmingham) and I can't find any places that have cheap rent most of them cost like £350 a week -_-. Can anyone spare any tips on how to find a cheap 1 room flat (btw i consider £350 per month as cheap) thanks!!!!

Have you tried looking on http://www.spareroom.co.uk/london you can find other students on there to share the cost with since London is so expensive anyway.

You arent going to afford a 1 bedroom flat as a student. You will get a room in a shared house as above.

Btw you arent going to get a room for £350 a month either. look at the rates on the link above. You shoide to study in London and expensive accomm is one of the pitfalls.

I pay about £410 a month for a room in a shared house in Brighton. And that's pretty average. Based on Brighton prices and London being more expensive you probably wouldn't get a one bed flat in London for less than £800 a month.
