Eight women have been arrested in Iran as part of a crackdown on women posting photographs online without wearing the compulsory headscarf.

Nice to the left-wing, peaceful, liberal Islam fighting against objectification. If only we could see this in the UK where women are fooled into portraying themselves as pieces of sex beef.

As the HuffPo says in this wonderful article the headscarf is "both an expression of self as much as of love", or as humble and pure Yusuf says in this video for the Guardian, it's actually really empowering for women, as it means they no longer have a stake in the sexual playing field, and can be viewed as sexless and innocuous, just as they should be.

I wouldn't be surprised if HuffPo was funded by the Saudis.

And the left wouldn't even have a problem with it if it was. They think they have more in common with the KSA than they do with the West.

Well the Saudis have brown skin don't they. So they're being blatantly oppressed in their palaces.
