isnt this only unit 6? for wednesday the 25th?
1. because there may be signs e.g. rocks forming, however the earthqauke etc may not happen then, it may only happen in a few years since they cant predict a time. furthermore, they cannot predict distance and it may only be a minor one as they also cannot predict the intensity. it also may be a false alarm. there is little warning that a natural didaster may be approaching
2. because no scientists has yet to come up with enough evidence and no theory is perfect.
look, i hope this helps you and im just letting u know that i havent started revising for the paper so this may not be totally accurate, goodluck.

1 - It won't be a three mark question, but the answer is that scientists cannot monitor what happens below the Earth's crust/ mantle.2- We do not what the Earth's early atmosphere consisted of as it was billions of years ago.
