I'm not going to a Mayball this year - there's a trip to Verona/Vicenza as part of my course this year, and I'll be spending my money on that. Tel's probably going to try to get security work tho. he was mistaken for a bouncer when we went to Queens May Ball last year!
our event's theme is 'bazaar'...how bizarre...
We've got "Easy Street", which is 1920s Jazz and stuff.

I wonder if Seth was on the committee? :wink:

Oh well, it'll be fun. I'm thinking of working on teh night, too, as I don't like drinking much and it'll give me an excuse not to- and I don't see why someone else who would otherwise drink should be stuck not drinking!
does that theme mean the girls will be easy...?

Hmmm, I should sort out if I'm coming to Clare. They really milk the alumni though, it's a 25% premium for posting it to your house or something stupid like that.

hmmmm.....clare sounds like it would be a nice secondary may ball to visit this year. might have to see if some people are up for it. But I'll be content with just johns this year I guess.

Does anyone know what days all the balls are on this year? I don't know many - I've got as far as:

FRI: Robinson
MON: Clare, Trinity
TUES: John's, Caius
WEDS: Sidney, Peterhouse, St Catharine's, King's, Tit Hall
FRI: Homerton

I've booked my tickets for Clare and Sidney and am thinking about the other days...

"Just" John's?! You lucky sod :p: By all accounts John's is significantly better than Trinity... (and my accounts came from Trinitarians, so the least biased in favour of John's you could possibly wish for!)

As I said it's a spoof, read the entire website, they're are adverts which would be considered blasphemous by this group if they were real, it's still quite funny, though, it is slightly excessive anti-Christian in some parts. It's mainly just poking fun at some Christian groups' hypocrisy.
