Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

I see no one from the old days... :frown:.
We should have another meet-up, so I can talk to all the decent people who were at the other end of the table!
That's rather harsh, dontcha think? I'm sure Jacob'll be happy to read that:p:
I think he meant decent as in fully dressed....

No matter, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4739376.stm. All I can say to those anti-test "imbeciles" is "Take that! You Sods!"
I should perhaps add that i was not intending to imply that the people sitting at my end of the table were indecent (apart from MB, obviously- proud to be fairly indecent!) but that I just missed out on talking to you.

Fully dressed? I can't remember anyone being naked?

man, if there was ever a way to be "in the zone" when it came to sleep, well I then I was just in it! I've only had a bit under 8 hours sleep, which is pretty normal for a weekend, but I woke up after only 3 hours having felt like it had been 6 hours. So I got a whole extra 5 hours in bed, which felt like an extra 7 hours or something, I feel so awake! Makes a nice change to my usual grumpy self at this time in the morning!
I find the more sleep I have, the more I need. If I have a lie-in one day, I'll want one the day after and so on. I think I might have undone all the good work which I did in the past week by staying in bed well past noon today...
grrr i hate having to hand essays in on Sunday evenings:frown:
Nice...

Sort-of related: Having lit Measure for Measure at the ADC all week, and been up until stupid o'clock this morning before getting to bed, I woke upthis afternoon at four o'clock.

And I now need to do a load of work as I've been so busy. Nice.

damn it, I have to choose where I want to live next year tomorrow morning but I still have no idea which room to choose!!!! Nightmare! Do I go for a room with character but lacking some facilities, or do I go for a (imo) bland new court rooms which have their own ensuite bathrooms and kitchenette etc?
beauty or comfort? I know which one I'll choose.
you'll have the rest of your life to live in bland buildings. take the opportunity to live in a old Cambridge room!

I'm living in Selwyn's Old Court. I have a set and I love it! My windows have pointed arches and I have a fireplace. it rocks!

I'll probably choose one of Selwyn's houses next year. Kitchens! With ovens and freezers!

Ovens and Freezers rock! I've decided the next flat I get should have a dishwasher too.

i've had a look at some of the ones in emma's old court, but tbh they're disappointing. The good ones are the sets that are shared between two, which obviously I am not going for. Looks like i'm staying in the fancy new rooms then
I'm living in the biggest room in this house next year.

MB
And, apparently, you'll have some nice orthodox Christians as neighbours to torment- Nice!

Yes, that's right- I kinow one of your future neighbours!

But I can't for the life of me remember who they are- I met them, heard they were at Robinson, and asked if they knew you- to which the answer was hell yes, I'm living in the same house next year...
i can't choose between a small room with huge wardrobe, sink and fridge, or a much bigger one with smaller wardrobe and a sink and it's ages away from the carpark. Both have character, I'm just not sure which is more viable in the long term
