Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

I don't really care tbh. As long as I'm not sharing, have a sink and am close to or within college I'm happy. I just don't want to walk back to Burrell's on my own late at night after events.

I just want a big window.
I want a house :frown:

Edit: and I would also like some hot water and central heating on one of the coldest days of the year so far!

Is that all? Some people are so easy to please...

Well, preferably one that isn't too far from Addenbrooke's, has nice rooms and facilities and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to live in! But anything would be a start...
CUSAGC housae is in completely the wrong direction, unfortunately.

Moan: I decided not to go for Access officer in teh end. Its not that I don;t want the job, but I don't think I can handle the organisation side of things and can't really commit a huge chunk of time to the UCS. Shame.

When will you younguns learn? You commit your time and THEN panic about what you're going to do.

or I have my time committed for me...

I spend 5 minutes in the ADC bar, and I'm signed up to do the lighting design for a show at Corpus Playroom- a nice challenge for my first proper designs!- and lighting op for a two week run of South Pacific at the ADC!

I don't need any help or hindrances in commiting my time!
Save the thread!

The fire troupe guy's room burning down (it was in last week's Varsity if you haven't seen it) has had interesting consequences. We got an email from the Senior Tutor today telling us not to keep paraffin in our rooms and that fire breathing/eating burns your lungs.
Why do I live so far from a chippy and why is my cupboard so bare? And why did I procrastinate the entire freakin day?
Heehee, I have a nice room for next year!!
Dammit, we don't find out about rooms until sometime next term. We've had lots of third years come around shopping for their room, but until we find out how many of them want to share, we don't even know whether we'll be sharing or not.

Pah
I've got no idea about rooms. I'm just going to have to go with the flow...

Unless helen wants to be really really really nice and email or PM me with the details of all the different types of rooms in the Colony? (I've got 49, by the way)

Hahaha. Dream on, kid. But with 49, you should be able to get somewhere reasonable if you're not going for shared.

Just go knock on doors during the rooms open day like everyone else, but everyone knows 22 Castle End and 3 St. Andrews are the best rooms in the Colony. :p:

You do NOT want to see the downstairs kitchen in St. Andrews this year. :frown:

Fortunately I don't usually use it. If I did, I'd either have had a nervous breakdown or died of food poisoning by now.
lol, that bad? which college has good kitchens?
End of term... still too many supervisions to arrange...
