Shocking! I guess it's 3 years old or something now, is it the new exec wanting to make their mark or something? It's lasted pretty well I guess, but no exec since the first one has really been keen enough. No one has used the calendar function for years .

aww, you'll be fine helen! i know everyone says that but you can only keep at it, and look forwards to the moment you finish your last exam!

and yes, truly EXCELLENT song. you can see i couldnt keep the Dylan out of my sig! my mum emailed a few lines from it to me recently. the bit in my sig i chose obviously for its architectural references, but its just incredibly uplifting, and obviously cos its bob, very well written.

Forever Young, Bob Dylan (dedicated to everyone who's stressing right now)

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
FOOD! GOOD! GOOD FOOD!

I am so hungry.

I was last person to leave the library last night. I haven't done that since lent term of last year. I need to find more time, or make my time more productive. But I already feel really burnt out from the mental effort of revision!
still havent started any revision!

but as of tomorrow (portfolio hand-in!! wooo) i shall be a NORMAL student, and do things like *shock* GO TO LIBRARIES and 'revise'!
I've pretty much wasted two days. No work was really done.

And with the essay in tomorrow, what am I going to do this evening? Why, go to teh cinema and see "The Da Vinci Code", of course, as opposed to actually doing some work...

Then again, I WILL do an hour when I get back. I WILL.

Anti moan: Have an outing tomorrow morning at 7; FINALLY, the chance to cox an eight. Am bith aprehensive and looking forwards to it... then again, having been in the Cam after my kayaking adventures on Monday I no longer fear it or its many and varied diseases. If only I ahd some trousers I could wear tomorrow- jeans are out, they get too wet and heavy and kill you by drowing if you end up in teh drink, so it looks like it MIGHT have to be shorts...

ooh! have fun!

7 is really too early for me, otherwise i'd come and laugh :p:
:p:
OK.

I have an essay due in at 5pm. I was up at 6. I was at the boathouse by seven. I coxed the eight quite well (no major crashes, and the one incident that occurred wasn't my fault...) and was then about to leave at about 9.

Not so! The women's third boat was short of a crew member. Ah.

On the plus side, I didn't exactly volunteer; I should, however, learn to say "no"!

So haveing had two hours of pain and problems and misery- first time rowing for me ina n eight, and what a baptism of fire that was!- I now havew several bloody and popped boatie blisters and am knackered. Sod.

Red Bull has been purchased, but it can't make up for both lack of sleep and lack of time... and I had promised to put 100% into this essay too. Crud.

[Edit: I caught 20 or so crabs in this outing- do I win a prize?]

[Edit Edit: My lovely hat! I put it and a cox box down by the side of teh river, and when I turned around a couple of minutes later having put the boat away they were both gone!

Cox boxes are expensive, and don't float; my hat does. I Think it may well be lost forever... I wonder if I can claim a new one, seeing as its insured (seriously!) against loss!
Can one of you lovely history peeps tell me what the fastest way to learn a ****load of economic hostory notes is???
Erm...

Blend them in a belnder into a nice, nutritious, healthy drink?

Other than that...

Graphs! If you're looking at something like GDP or whatever as it changes over time, try plotting it as a graph. If like me you've a bit of a visual memory you'll be able to recall it much better.

Flashcards work in a similar way, especially for things like teh state of the economy at a certain date.

Hope that helps!
Ankoo. Atm, I'm just memorising and potential-essay-planning :p:
James -
1. Well done with the coxing/rowing. You truly have proved yourself masochistic! :p:
2. I hope you made it with the essay!
3. OH! your lovely hat! i am in deep mourning for its loss. (you INSURED it?? lol)

I have just handed in my 2nd year portfolio! wooooooooooo am in such a state of happiness that i cannot contemplate the fact that HARDCORE revision begins at 7 am tomorrow. so i am just going to ignore that fact and go see the Da Vinci Code with archi mates.
wooo
