Prelims are June 9th, I believe. The Englishers have already had theirs, all done well at Pem which is great. And I'm sure not everything has been overwhelmingly bad! Though it surprises me that you've never seen anyone else's work, at the end of each term so far I've swapped essays with either the people in my college doing the same paper as me, or outside of college who I met in, say, the first supervision of term. I think it is a really good way of doing things.

It's officially June 12th. CamSIS says

Yours might have, we haven't even had our exams yet.

Really? Oh right, didn't realise everyone did theirs at different times, good luck with yours then. When are they?

Aye, but my DoS is on the board of examiners, he says they have the general examiners meeting on the 8th, the results (i.e pass/fail) are posted up on the 9th, and he says on that day, having had the meeting, he'll have the mark breakdown and feedback from examiners, and will be in touch with us on the
9th to give us our results. Might well be dif. for Tit Hall tho.

I can't stop eating mini cheddars. Damn Sainsbury's multipack of 12 packets.

Mmm, mini cheddars...that reminds me, my parents are down today, so I feel a shopping trip (on them) is in order

Well that's not very nice....it means they're out sooner than I thought, as I can't see my DoS being inefficient....*cries*

Char, do you want to get drunk next friday then?

One more to go!

Today's was fairly abysmal, but everyone thought so. I can't decide if it was worse than Tuesday's - on Tuesday I had 3 questions I could answer moderately badly, today I had one I could do quite well and two which I did REALLY badly. I hate essays, I much prefer calculations and short answers and things like that :frown:
I finish on the 8th... starting on the 5th. and I'm reallying ****ting myself now. Well no matter. Bring on the Slaughter! Having missed about 40% of my lectures in the entire year... I really don't have many choices when the exam comes :s:.

Terrible today. If I had just been a bit calmer, I could have gotten about 20% more points than I will probably get.
I hate essays

Me too. Which means I'm really sodomised...

I've planned mine now, but still ahve to write it. I have two outings and some techieing between now and then. It looks liek it amy be an all-nighter...

On the 13th, didn't Pembroke do theirs last term? I'm sort of pleased mine are in the proper exam period, it makes me feel more like it's the end of the year and I'm working up to something.

My best friend from back home is up the 9th-11th so she'll have to come along on the drinking spree too, but am sure she won't mind hehe. And ooh, thanks for the email btw...I felt sooooooo stupid after I realised - got all these emails flooding in from people, some funny saying they agreed etc, others really narky for cluttering up their inbox hehehe. :p: and yesee to lovely food and cake nights very soon too! how are you? xx

Ah, okies. No, they didn't have them last term - had them in the first week back this term, with us historians. I think they quite appreciated getting them out of the way though I take your point about working up to something.
Not quite an all-nighter; finished at 2 am. Having written 21 pages (double spaced big writng...).

Looks liek teh (verbal) kick up the backside from my supervisor worked. I've put 100% into the essay this week ( I feel like a NatSci, its wrong!) and I blimmin well hope it's paid off! High 2.1 would be nice to show I can do it...
Well done! (21 pages )

You definitely seemed to be in the library nearly as much as me - quite hardcore for a historian :p:

Anyway, I have my LAST exam today! Huzzah! (c) FTB 2006

Today is my sister's 18th birthday. I feel old. Quite an exciting year though as the other sister turns 16 and I turn 21. If I'd not taken the sabbatical we'd all have been leaving our respective schools this year too, although Mum is extremely happy that she hasn't had to endure the stress of GCSE/IB/Final exams quite all at once. If only she and Dad were turning 50 instead of 49 this year - so much significance!!! The historian in me is overwhelmed.
Right. I ahve a supo at 4 and had a really good outing this morning.

My plan now: get a blanket, a book, and my bike and go and have a picnic. I need to de-stress; I'v ebeen doing way too much work! :p:
