Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

Well, finally finished.

Now there's only the matter of this insane amount of techieing this weekend, Monday and Tuesday...

Will soon become a caffiene freak, for sure!
I'm home! and guess what the first thing I look for on the internet when got home? Yep, you guessed it. I'm looking for a crack for mIRC.

2.i. I had already told everyone that's what I thought I would get, but still bitterly disappointed, especially seeing some of the people who got 1sts. I know, I'm ungrateful.

:hugs: I feel your pain, especially considering how well you did in the last two years. Some of my friends who I thought were dead certs for firsts missed out too :frown:

I'm just dreading mine now, I know I'm going to let everyone down :frown:

Thanks, Helen. I used to think that the 2:2s were reserved for the people who don't work very hard, but some of the results that came out for Physiology today were truly shocking. I mean, there was someone who moved up from a 2:2 last year to a 1st, and someone who fell from a high 1st last year to a 2:2. I've always felt a bit disillusioned about Cambridge exams, but Part II is just on another level.

This probably doesn't make you feel any better, but just remember that you're not defined by the class you leave with, and you've already done really well so you can't really be a failure now - you've achieved too much already! And fortunately, as doctors it won't really matter what class we get this year.

Not the one I'm looking at. Probably just because I don't know where to find a free irc client. It's free in a way... just not that free.

2. I just got a free meal from hall for no particular reason.

Hehe, sounds, erm...interesting...:p: good luck for the techieing. I got horribly drunk at a v. civilised EU Soc garden party yesterday...the last I remember is talking to a would-be monk, very late, in a graveyard, (I know how to have fun don't I?!) but thankfully have just woken up here (in my own room) lol. :p: someone just texted me saying it was fun at the beach bikini party??

Yes - their women are head of the river. They were pretty awesome.

I think our boatman was enjoying the riding crop a little bit too much...I'm still bruised from where Harry Potter tried to steal it from me though. No idea about the writing on my back - I know who to blame, but I have no clue what it was meant to mean.

Yesterday I got proper drunk I think. T'was Trinity Economics Society Garden Party. I had 7 glasses of Pimms I think and 2 of wine. The President then thought it would be fun to put me in charge of ticketing (because he was too drunk to count). Weeeeellll along comes some young guy, who (in my inebriated state) I remember thinking looked really hot. The following convo ensued:

Me: you better cough up the cash - 3 quid for Trinitarians...hang on are you a Trinitarian??
Him: Yes
Me: Really haven't seen you around...
Him: Err (he removes sunglasses and stares at me) I'm a Fellow.
Me Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh s-s-s-sorry, erm yea....errrrr (after about 30 seconds I realised that this was the guy who had lectured and INTERVIEWED me. I wanted to die. Right there.

But I suppose it could have been worse....if I'd said 'woah a fitty' or something Godddddddd....

anywho, it's off to the bouncy castle on the back lawn I go...

After no alcohol all week and spending far too much time in the blazing sun with little food (can't eat between racing, it makes me sick), are you surprised? Am ok now though.
