hi
i go to work, and come back to find 5 more pages...

is anyone else watching the olympics? i never thought badminton/synchronised diving was so compelling
We're doing well in the sailing tho! I'm really into it, cos i sail a Europe (olympic women's single hander) and my dad sails a Finn (olympic mens' single hander). Ben Anslie, the British Finn sailior came first in BOTH his races today, and we're leading in the Yngling and 470 classes too! Yay!

Yeah..i've always wondered about that....why is it called yngling.....and how the hell do you pronounce it??? Is it....why-ngling......or....ingling?? Or something else???

I'm gonna head off now everyone...my internet connection is too slow and making posting too much like work . Goodnight all

Hehe I watched a bit of badminton today scarlet, and yeah, its extremely compelling, especially at international standard...

Am I the only one who's actually getting mad, painful, uncomfortable butterflies thinking about exam-results day? I've never ever felt so anxious in my life... its a constant pain in my stomach and there's nothing I can do to quash it...

ARGH !!!
its prononced 'Ingling' its the womens' keelboat

no i'm feeling the same :frown:
Ouch... best I can say is I think I know how you feel... mentally and physically...

Do you have any tips I could use to just get it out of my system? Except excessive drinking, knocking myself out, or going outside (I'm too tired tonight)
i've found (these last few days) that watching random Olympic sports helps take my mind off it! but you just have to tell yourself that theres NOTHING you can do about it.

Sorry...you're gonna have to remind me of exactly which bit in nemo squishy comes into play..it's been awhile since i saw it..and like i said..brain..not working...meh

Squishy is the first jellyfish that Dory (the blue fish with the bad memory) comes across. The really tiny one...before Marlin and Dory get attacked by loads of them.

The Ynglings are the Norwegian dynasty (dating back to the time of viking raids) - I wonder if there is any relation.

i am still yet to see nemo.. :frown: dammit!
Arrrgh... I've woken up, and its all bad again haha...

Erm... you know when you get your overall grades, do they tweek the UMS marks on the whole? Or does your excess from the previous year actually add towards your final grade? In other words... would a really really good A-grade (carried over from your AS) be better than a mediocre A-grade???

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

***EDIT***

Lol.....do who tweak your UMS marks?? From what i know...the unis won't actually get to see what UMS marks we get....they just get told the overall grades i believe.

And yes....the AS mark is added to what you get for this year's exams....and overall...you need 480/600 for the A. So the higher your AS level marks....the better chance you have of getting an A at a-level overall.
