Lol I like to plan stuff too, and clean stuff for that matter, but I wouldn't gp so far as to clean the living room carpet!!

I've taken the carpet up - as in got scissors and massacred it. Mum keeps saying she wants the get rid of it and show of the old parquet floor, so I did it for her.

Sadly I was deadly serious. lol. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic but I'm hoping it might be quite fun. I figured if I don't know what I want to do after three years I may as well just try to enjoy them. (It may have been more along the lines of [to my Dad]: "I may DIE before finishing my degree for all you know - I'm damn well going to do whatever I want!" [regaining posture and smile]: "And could you please pay for it.")

EDIT: The two-year rule might say it's ok, but the half-your-age-plus-seven rule just misses it by a couple of months. Oh well.

Hope so. It's annoying not being able to plan stuff (I am a plan-freak, so it's bad!) I'm so bored I've cleaned the whole house whilst my parents are on holiday and taken up the living room carpet.

This is my biggest worry about being among new friends at uni... I can't just say stuff like that, in case those weird people are right there! gah. Or in case it makes me look like a weird person (how long do you think you should have known somebody before it's OK to admit that you've farted?)
