basically MB hates it, willa hates it, willa met some OC fans at his freshers party.

i however think it is so cheesy, it's amazing. i ike a bit of lighthearted relief where i can point and laugh at these kids' sad existences

I agree - it's pure class in the very trashiest kind of way. Plus I love Seth . But no, it's definitely not quality television.

I actually found the London Freshers party thing quite helpful - I'm really not very good at meeting new people and found the 'roomful-of-people-I-don't- know-all-in-groups' incredibly daunting when I arrived. However everyone was really friendly, and I think it was good practice for me for Freshers week which will be the same again several times over, only with more people and hopefully less older men who go round touching all the girls .

Starting over will be a wrench though - I went with one of my best mates from school and it made me realise how hard re-creating that kind of friendship with new people is going to be.

ETA: Welcome to the craziness of this thread Lilliana! Which subject are you doing and at which college?

the london freshers party would have been quite big i imagine. all the northern ones i think were quite small, and not many people went i don't think.

i know what u mean about recreating friendships...my friends have known me properly for 4 years at least, some for 7years...they're the people who we went through puberty with, they know why we've become the people we are today.
ok that was cheerful...i'll shut up now

yay the person in the stripy top....i do actually remember your name!!!
Welcome to the thread. Don't worry about being nervous, we're all in the same boat, and i agree...the freshers party didnt help at all...it just made the whole thing seem really daunting, having to meet new people and rebuild friendships and stuff. Ah well. And clearly i will have no friends because I didnt like The OC!
I'll be your friend :-) I don't like the O.C.

btw, sorry to be nosy, but what the hell was luke trying to say in that LJ post? (he's on my LJ friends list)

And they're letting Pol be a medic

I've never had a fight in my life. I've been hit/hit people a couple of times, but not properly.

omg how slow am i!!! I only just noticed the connection between you and that person on his lj!!!! What's your username on there? How do you know luke?

Which comment are you talking about in particular? The one which made me angry because i happened to be in a bad mood at the time?

And yay people who dont like the oc! I think we managed to settle on the fact that people watch the OC cos it's soft porn. The episode I have watched was an xmas one, hence no bikinis, hence not enough soft porn, hence I didnt like it
But tbh I dont have time to watch much TV, and so I probably wont be devoting The OC to that precious time

I may be sociopathic with strong psychopathic undertones, but I also like to look after people (note previous posts about getting vomitted/pissed/**** on whilst helping random incapacited people home after nights out...).

I guess I'm a seriously mixed up wee Irishman...

That should make me an ideal psychiatrist... Pares inter paribus facillime congregantur, as they say..

I'm probably taking a couple of fiction books; I might take my last year's textbooks but I probably won't in the end. I keep meaning to join the Cambridge library for the purpose of trashy novels that aren't available in college libraries but I never get round to it.
