Reactivation maybe needed I guess. Never use fake e-mail address when there are so many free boxes you can grab and throw away.

2 days until mine - I win!

Ooh happy birthday!!

But I still reckon I win! Birthday in freshers' week and official matriculation day!! If I get a badge, I might actually be cool and wear it all day! At least you'll be able to track me down if I do, and assuming the cake plan works, I may even give you a fairy cake!

It didn't cost me anything, except that my mum has to give her some present. She decided to give her some Chinese wine (45% by volume).

I like my town....
With a little drop of poison...
Nobody knows....
they're lining up to go insane...

Well somebody's been listening to the Shrek II soundtrack!!
I think I'm right in thinking that's the second quote from that album you have used in recent times! (Yes, I have been counting )

i was trying to really "pack light", i havent packed any junk to "decorate" my new room or anything.,.. only "essential stuff"... and i havent even packed half of it and it already looks like scarily lots

I have packed light as well, having looked at it all several times over there's nothing really I can actually do without!! I only have a small box of photo frames, little bits & bobs (goodbye gifts and congrats bears & other such stuff) and I'm not taking any posters. (I'll no doubt accumulate enough by the end of term; I seem to collect wall maps unintentionally!) Most of it is kitchen stuff, books, music stuff, documents (big box of all the important stuff) and quite a bit of stationery. I do have a crate of guidey stuff, but I think I'll need all that as well. There's also a bag of cushions and my throw (& Mexican poncho!) Luckily I don't think my clothes will take up that much space. I think it's mainly because I've packed it all in boxes and crates that it looks so much! The room they give me can't possibly be any smaller than my current room so I know it will all fit but it still seems like a lot!
I really really wanted to take my beanbag, but that is only going to happen if it will fit in the car easily.
Wow... Blissy.. CUTE!

guidey stuff? what, and why would you need it in cam? I have just abut done my clothes (only I cant find a couple of my favourite tops, my sister claims ignorance but i thik she's stolen them) and just need to put in the stuff i need to wear this week  umm and underwear and stuff.

if it helps anyone it all fits into a smallish suitcase, but i could take less than what ive put in. ill probably go through it again and weed out stuff i'll never wear.

a whole crate of documents? like what? I have a little folder thingy with stuff about student loan, junk my college send me, etc.. to which i need to add bank details, NHS number whatever.. but I cant think what else i would need to take? any suggestiosn?

i'm very tempted to take my duvet even though we get one (at home i have a double duvet on a single bed. its soooooo much warmer) but its opretty big & bulky.

i need to get hold of a clothes horse (i found a shop that sells one about the right size for £5 or so which seems ok, and it was strongly recommended in freshers guide :s-smilie: ) and a phone (for a landline phone).

also need to shop for / steal from home some kitchen basics..

Wow, finally. Somebody has noticed what I've said. I feel so happy and honoured. Thanks for reading my posts.

first one was "people ain't no good". Twice, indeed.

I'm currently looking at one gigantic suitcase and one slightly less gigantic suitcase but still gigantic. I still don't know what's in them and there they are. Heavier than me. I don't know how much you guys are taking, but, this is insane, I think. I bet, the size of my largage is laughable. Somehow, I am convinced that I'll be laughable when I get to Cambridge on 3rd.
Evenin folks, just got back from seein Hero and dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Very Oriental evening. Did i miss much?

Guidey stuff as in Girlguiding UK, see CUSAGC thread from about a week ago on this section, at least I think it was about a week ago!? I bombarded Helenia with questions, which she kindly answered.
I plan to carry on helping with Brownies so will need certain stuff like my Leadership Training pack, Warrant Card, CRB check stuff, as well as uniform (urgh) and some activity/games/songs/craft ideas. It sounds a lot but it's really not that much.

Clothes wise; I'm not spoilt for choice in that department, what I have now I am bringing, it won't take up much space.

Documents. I have things like all my bank statements, passport, loan & grant stuff, driving stuff, NHS card (new!), insurance stuff, subscription stuff for magazines, exam certificates, college & uni stuff, copy of my ucas form. (still paranoid they've made a mistake!) My mum wants to move house before Christmas, so I've decided I'm better off keeping anything important with me than letting anyone else pack it up for me in my absence!

Duvet, hmmm, I want to take mine and I will if there is room! I got so cold the night before my interview; it was more of a blanket than a duvet!

I'm not bothering with a phone, I hate talking on them and I have my mobile if people want to phone me! But I am going to get a clothes rack thing, I will not be ironing!

I suddenly feel less disorganised!
