It's alright for you if your parents can drive. Mine can't!! I can't use boxes, that would be silly and slow moving them in and out of a train carridge. By the way, I should arrive at the Cambridge train station about 15:25. So, here I am, pleading for a lift... :rolleyes: Anyway, I got the taxi numbers.

there's quite a good bus running between the train station and the mini-bus-station-thing near Emma. it's not far from there to pembroke (as you probably know) although it would probably seem further than it is with heavy suitcases.

wouldnt it be easier just to download it off imesh or similar? (imesh is a bit crap cos of the spyware tho)

em... no. I'd prefer to have a proper copy of it just to show off [meaning I hate to see subtitles ruining the pictures]. Then I'll watch it with subtitled turned off and explain the storyline to you lot later.

I can't be bothered to walk that 500 meters... I walked all the way from station to college. This time, I insist on someone drive me to it. Rather, drive it to me.

She's got a beautiful face. Better looking than mine at least.

I'm a classical fan despite the fact that I got some 1.5 GB of mp3 files on my drive. I don't buy things from shop if I can get it for free. Typical IT guy behaviour as expected. :tongue:
I'm taking 12 CDs and my stereo, worth £25, to Cambridge. Unless you like Vivaldi, Bruch and Mozart, you shouldn't borrow things from me.

My music collection is a little more modern than that but I really will (and frequently do!) listen to anything of any sort! (except poppy dance rubbish!)
I have lots and lots of CDs packed, but then I know I'll listen to most of them; more often than not I have music playing!

At the moment; The Very Best of T-Rex! :biggrin:

I have some 40 or 50 CDs in total. At the beginning of the holidays, I set out to listen to each and everyone of them at least once. I ended up listening only to 5 of them.

I got hospital appointment to attend tomorrow, I wonder what I should be listening right now to put me into the right mood... em,

I like my hospital...
With a little drop of poison...
Nobody knows....
They are lining up to drop dead.

p.s. in that case, feel free to look through my collection.

Bruch

You really like Bruch? Why? What is wrong with you? I hope you don't like that god awful scottish fantasia (or whatever it's called) for violin. Damn disgusting piece of music that is.

Don't sit on the fence, say what you really mean. :wink:
Hey priya, how's your italian going? Here's a challenge for you to translate.

Madamina!
Il catalogo e questo,
Delle belle, che ano il padron mio!
Un catalogo egli e ch'ho fatto io:
Osservate, leggete con me!
In Italia seicento e quaranta,
In Alemangana suecento tret'una;
Cento in Francia, in Turchia novant'una,
Ma, ma in Ispagna, son gia mille e tre!
V'han fra queste contadine.
Cameriere cittadine;
V'han Contesse, Baronesse,
Marchesane, Principesse,
Ev'han donne d'ogni grado,
D'ogni forma d'ogni eta.
Nella bionda, egli ha l'usanza
Di lodar la gentilezza,-
Nella bruna la costanza,
Nella bianca la dolcezza!
Vuol d'inverno la grassotta
Vuol d'estate la magrotta;
E la grande, maestosa;
La piccina, ognoe vezzosa.
Delle vecchie fa conquista
Per piacer di porle in lista:
Sua passion predominante
E la giovin principiante
Non si picca, se sia ricca-
Se sia brutta, se sia bella!
Purche porti la gonnella,
Voi sapete quel che fa!

It just happens that I have some of his violin concertos. Don't listen to it frequent enough to say that I really like Bruch. The most listened to piece is Four Seasons, then Requiem by Mozart.

That's just mean! My friend did Spanish ab initio and she's still stressing over it a year on!

sorry, I generally like the various trends in the late nineteenth century but some of these minor composers wrote a load of shite.
