*X files music*

I can't let my boyfriend wander around college alone without predatory females trying to seduce him.

Is this type of thing common at Clare, then?

Not in my circle. I really hope.

Raaaaa! Rudely awakened on a Saturday morning by fire alarm  Tempted to write a Clareification story about this, but it may not work out.

Blissy - take him to a normal college  We're nice, we are.

Damn, wish they'd done that to me this morning! That would be E&B then? *no comment*

QB made me feel really dense too. I forgot all my A level maths and had SO many supervisions where my supervisor patiently explained the chain rule to me AGAIN. But twill be OK - even I managed a 2i in QB in the end so you'll be fine  Is your supervisor good?

PS Just got email from my DoS telling me that despite our experience in our supervision the other night, our CDB supervisor is actually really good. Yeah right. I suspect he's never even met the woman - she doesn't even talk to her colleagues and she didn't answer any of our questions (just sat there and looked terrified)! How do they appoint supervisors in this place??!!

Is an imaginary grade better or worse than a real one?

Lol, yes, it was Dr Balloux.

Our supervisor, well, we;ve only had one, he looks very much like a stereotypical compsci but is doing a phd in mathematical biology in the genetics dept, or something like that. He seems okay so far.

our cells one is a bit weird we spent most of #our first supervision discussing what to do before, after, and during a lecture - including "go to the toilet before the lecture" , "bring a pen" and " listen". I think perhaps it's because she went to UEA, maybe she has to overcome an inferiority complex by patronising cambridge students until they lose the will to live. Possibly.

Lecture this morning was atcually pretty good though. I understood what was going on  even physiology is making slightly more sense.

Ah, him.. he was supposed to lecture us for QB last year but got put on enforced paternity leave  hehehehehehe

LOL, your cells supervisor sounds wonderful  Has she actually discussed any cell biology with you yet?!

Mind you, a talking supervisor is still a bonus *still cross*

If anybody does happen to know the process they go through to appoint supervisors, I would genuinely really like to know...

Shiny - why wouldn't Oxford let you matriculate? I thought grads did matriculate? And you don't need to feel left out - you know more about all this than us, you've been through it for longer...

oh.. and regarding the morning sleepines.. I reckon lots of it is down to meds

I didnt take them lat night, and i only got to bed at 2 for my 9am lecture.. woke up with an awful headache but downed a load of painkillers and OJ and went back to sleep for half an hour (oh the benefits of living so near your lectures.,.. i set my alarm for 8.50!) and am fine now... didnt drink any coffee or anything.. just a cup of tea after lecture 1

and didnt fall asleep at all!

so i am now gonna divide my dose and take it at 3 intervals in the day and definitely not late at night. we will see how it goes..

Look down Mill Road, there's two chinese supermarkets, a place that looks turkish - I can't remember if there's an indian place though.

Ahhh 10hours sleep, fantastic.
