half the population triedto commit suicide between the ages of 10 and 19 (probably). although, yknow, i do rather like looking at scars so feel free to show me some time.

Have I shown you mine? Or the hole in the wall I made once?

I nearly burnt a house down once when I was about 8.

Rosie. I'll show you later on tonight if you want. While I try to strangle you slowly and painfully... (*mode = evil, very evil*).

"karyote" means "nucleus" in latin. So I doubt it.

Good. You pay for what you get, i.e. 10 hour sleep.

I am as bored as hell here in the most disorganised place I've been to. And I have been to many places....

Oh but I can clear one thing up! A karyotype is when they use specific stains that attach to either GC-rich or AT-rich parts of the chromosome so you get a lovely stripy chromosome showing you roughly how the base sequence goes... As far as I am aware there is DEFINITELY no such thing as a karyote cell  nucleus cell? lol

All I am good for is spouting scientific crap :frown: I need to get out of the library! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh

It gets better after the first year. You get to choose things you're actually interested in...

Can I help with anything in particular? Unless it's QB

i think i have nearly finished my essay, although it's really pants. it's just ... bah. what are you taking again? Path and ?

i did brain research today down at thCBU and my experimenter was trying to convince me to do experimental psychology, he said "it was tyeh only part of my degree i enjoyed at all" which did not cheer me up.
I can't wait until I get home and get to be all cambridge on people's asses.

Though it just reminds me of the comedy last night, Cambridge is so civilised, in Cambridge you get really battered, then you ..jump in the river. Talk to your friends in other universities, they get pissed and rape a prostitute.

Path, neuro and cell & developmental biology. Experimental psych looks much more interesting (and scientific!!) than I thought it would be...

Path is HIGHLY recommended. Loving it. Very complicated but v v interesting. CDB is OK, neuro crap at the mo but that's cos we're doing all the Nernst equation Hodgkin-Huxley rubbish...

1A Cells has some really good bits and some really really dull bits. If I remember right you're pretty much going over A level at the moment, so that can be a bit boring. Genetics is coooool (you have to wait til Lent for that but David Summers is a god).
