Wow you put more effort in than me! I had 10 fish fingers, 2 slices of bread and butter and a malt loaf. I even managed to burn the fish fingers because I set them off frying and then came back to sit down and listen to music. Muppet.
Alaric.
you must have been hungry!
i found vegetarian fish fingers today. i was quite afraid.
lol, i bought some malt loaf too. good old bogof huh? i think these are my 5th and 6th maltloafs since being here. which in a way is worrying.
it wasnt actually much effort. cut up some stuff, put it in a pan, leave. lol. ]
still havent made your peasant pasta tho
oh yeah and I ventured up to mill rd today, its LOADS closer than i thought it was (my lovely IT guy persuaded me ), got some stuff.
Visesh, if you read this, what olentils are they? None of the ones i found looked like the ones we used (i dont think?) except the yellow split peas. and i dont think it was them
managed to use 2 onions as well only about 15 to go now....
Not really, it's supposed to be fairly light so I can still play badminton for three hours this evening. I think eating the entire malt loaf in one go was perhaps excessive, but if it's on bogof I can hardly refuse!

Ahhh boiling things, not something I do often enough, everything I cook is shallow fried.
How exactly do vegetarian fish fingers work?
Mill road isn't far, it is quite long though, if you've been down it then you're doing a lot better than most cambridge students ever do!

I was thinking of the 10 fish fingers!
try the stew some time, its really nice and you can use up any random vegetables you may have
mine had
2onions, 3 med potatoes, 3 carrots, 1/4 cabbage, pearl barley (you can get this from the health shop on bridge st, its like 60p or something for a bag), 2 stock cubes, bt of garlic, parsley.
fry the onion & garlic for a bit then put everything else in and lots of hot water (enough to cover all the veg and then a bit). cook it for about 1/2 hour or so until potatoes etc are soft. very nice with some littel cubes of cheese mixed in just befrore you eat it.
I have nno idea abut the veg fish fingers i dont think ill be trying them soon . although we vegetarians can of course eat ladies fingers.
I didn go all the way down mill road. I went a bit furtehr than cash coverters but then i came back. actually i went there with my dad the night before my interview. but ididnt know it was there....if that makes sense.
i dont think these were veggie fingers though (are you thinking of the ones taht are kind of pale yellowy and have chunks of carrots and peas and whatnot in them?)... these are like scary replica fish fingers with fish flavouring and god kknows what else
thanks alaric [feeling it to be a bit more doable maybe just now]. i've decided i'm going to be a house husband. rosie can I be yours? you can go out and use your brain, i'll stay at home and cook stew.
Erm, it's fairly regular. And you can make appointments, although I've never bothered.
I haven't given blood in ages, where do the bloob collection people go when they come to Cambridge, or can you just go down to Addies and they take a pint or two?
Where is Gardies? I went on a search for it earlier when all the Girtonians decided to do something really boring (visit one of the uni libraries... what the hell do they think we're here for..? ), but couldn't find it...
I guess I need to find it as a sort of initiation thing
