We have had Formal Hall cancelled 'cos some people were naughty and trashed the college last night and threw up EVERYWHERE!

Any other college had that honour yet this term?

I'm off to see the Civilisation 2 guy upstairs. (Hence getting civilised early on.)

There's a Civ2 guy?

Last year New Hall's pipes were clogged up with vomit and we had an email about our "behaviour" from the senior tutor.

I'm so fed up with Racine :frown:

Just had a look at some of his work on the net... I see your point!

Pourquoi? Je pense qu'il ne soit pas mal...

I'd rather be doing other things. And I haven't really got a grasp on him yet, so it's all a bit... "flabby" as one of my lecturers says.

Why did your lecturer want to praise him like that?

Flabby

Indeed, flabby is almost as techincal as fuzzy. Really, you'd think these English lecturers could come up with some well-clever words wouldn't you?

Well.. I can't see quite what else they'd be being paid for..!

Just went to Girton bar and couldn't even tempt anyone to go to town with the offer of free taxis/free bottles of wine to drink en route..

What is the world coming to..?! :frown:

I guess it's essay time then :frown:
Troy... I see you are online..

Fancy meeting up tomorrow night for a pubcrawl type thing?

I think it's being planned by Girtonians (a cute wee vet called Elsbeth and someone else who I probably should know but don't!) but it's for everyone..

Hey Pol, just replied to your pm.

I got a fieldtrip to Stonehenge and avebury where we will look at artifacts and landscapes of prehistory from the paleolithic right up to modern day, apparently  And I get to sleep in a youth hostel.

Just had really scary encounter with evil spider. Need consolation. Here is my victim account (yes, I've told that many people about it):

Ok, i called on my friend and asked if she was any good with spiders and she came down and said "CHRIST, i thought you were just being a whimp". We pulled everything out from the corner and it kept running everywhere but she managed to get a tupperware box over it and we shoved a card under it. But we were there holding it against the wall and didn't know how to move it (and all the furniture was everywhere so we were scared of tripping and dropping it). FInally we got it upright and tried to get it out of the window but it doesnt open wide neough so we took it to the kitchen and she (my saviour) chucked it out of the window and we both screamed "YESSS!" and jumped up and down, much to the amusement of passing boys from the next college (two girls in a kitche in nighties screaming "yes" mustn't be a common occurence). Now I have put all my furniture back, thanked my wonderful friend and have stopped having fantasies of it crawling all over me. And it's happily outside, ready to scare another girl tomorrow.

Isn't it big? Look at it! Isn't it horrid? Didn't we (she) do well?
edit: if this was a mixed college it would have been so much easier to find someone to help me

It was really really fast as well! It covered loads of ground as we leapt over furniture, chasing it with a tupperware box. (You think I would go near enough to put a ruler near it? )

My cousin used to unpack boxes of bananas. Cripes! What a job!

Hehe, yeah, that made me laugh but  they didn't actually do that? *faints*

I'm in on so many of them it's unbelieveable. Including two of the pulling ones, the one about choir, and many others that only make sense if you know the people.

Oh, two of the medics in my year are going out, it's been waiting to happen for ages but finally has. You don't know them though, I don't think.

Blissy - yes I am! Why?

they did do that lol, it was me and philippa and duncan and jenny who put the money up for it.

It's absolutely revolting. I'd just die if that appeared in my room. and my neighbours would totally not appreciate how scared I am of them.
Tonight I discovered ....I don't like DnB. No I'm just too bigoted to appreciate it. Also noticed a few people smoking joints in clare cellars :O
