Just add "wo" in front of men and I could have said this. Perhaps we should meet to write a book about how to decipher the opposite sex.
Damn, that's been done already and I will not stoop that low to read it! Confused over paying for dodgy advice any day!
Noooo, don't do it, they may add it to my never ending reading list and try and make me write more mind boggling essays on it calling it Soc Anth; an evil subject! Grrr I love the work here, 'tis all interesting stuff (some amazingly inetersting!) but really hating the work load at the moment! My soc anth essay meant to be arguing against biology just ended up in favour of it, which is really not good! I have reverse writers block at the moment, all my thoughts come at once which makes it impossible to separate them from one big jumble! Argh, I need sleep!
Same as last week I'm afraid, sounds like fun but I think my 4 essays ( yes 4, 3 in in next 3 days!) are more important! Argh, I keep telling myself it will improve next week but I'm not seeing much evidence yet!

it's a cross between netball and basketball (not as anal as netball, but not as free-for-all as basketball). Basically, you got baskets, you shoot in them. You got defenders...if they stick out their arm and are within arms reach and are between you and the basket, you cant shoot (if you do, it's a foul). There are loads of other parts to it (it's a mixed sport, boys only mark boys etc, 4 boys and 4 girls per team, two sides, one attack one defend, swap every 2 goals) but I wont go into detail here...if you wanna know more just google it....then at least you can learn the basics and realise that it's quite a cool game! And hey....it looks like i'm gonna get a half blue out of it as well!!!

yeah it's great fun...really relaxed. We get loads of basketball players trying out (so they all shoot really badly...cos in korfball the best way to shoot is a sort of half netball type way....basketball shots tend to be too flat). But once you know the technique, they all seem a hell of a lot better than me!!!

Did you sign up at the Freshers' Fair? Is it a collegiate sport? (I'm guessing it is.)

no it's not big enough to be collegiate.....it's reasonably big...but it still isnt that popular (hence why i am on the university first team ). You can sign up at freshers fair, or just turn up to the first training session...doesnt matter, they're all quite lazy people really...as long as they get enough people for the two teams they enter into the local league, thay're happy!
but as i say...it's a good way to get a Half Blue, cos not many people can boast a blue in any form at all, and korfball seems one of those secrets people dont really know about!
