anyone else find they get laods hungrier here than they do at home?
i mainly eat pretty healthy home cooked meals and whatnot. but im getting fat (dont tell pol)
No, I no longer get hungry like I used to. Here I tend to eat about one proper(ish) meal a day and at home I'd have two or three. In the last year I've lost over two and a half stone through not eating much and exercise.
I'm too lazy to cook properly and too poor to buy ready done stuff/take out. Before term started it was a bit ridiculous though, I had to make a concerted effort to have anything to eat in a day.
Today I've eaten houmous (high calorific content ) and caffeine. I may have a pasta salad I bought earlier when I get back. The other day a strange thing happened, for my first food of the day at about 4 in the afternoon I decided to have a bar of chocolate and I couldn't finish it. It was the first time in about 15 years I've not felt like finishing chocolate!
Some people gain weight at uni, others lose it. As long as you're healthy it doesn't matter.

Yes, in fact I was discussing my hunger with my mum earlier, which promted more food being added to the trolly I've still not eaten anything from the buttery but I'm always hungry & I'm eating loads all the time! (Friends have commented on it!) I eat porridge, toast & fruit for breakfast but I'm normally starving by 10:30am, half way through first lecture! I'm reckon I'm eating quite healithy (apparently I sicken people with my healthy lifestyle !) but my mum reckoned I'd lost weight! (But then she also said I'd grown; in four weeks?!)
I hope you don't arrive at Clare look like a snowman. It's cold out there.
I've got my coat and not just my jacket, it's alright. You just wait till you have to go to the gates building when there's 3 inches of snow on the ground and a windchill of minus 20. Then you'll be having fun (as I did).
/me is leaving now, I'll try and watch out for knife wealding cyclists

Alaric.
I'm sure that will happen to me. I have another 2.9 years to find out.
ah you beat me, i have eaten in hall 4 times now (had brunch today. it was disappointing).
still if you are managing to eat all that and lose weight..
Loosing weight is not a good thing! I'm still trying to put back on what I lost over the summer! Do you have to eat with your anti-inflamatories? Mine make me sick if I don't eat anything before them so I have to eat regularly
so you said the rest of it mentally if not aloud? or in print?
Hey, Why would I want to think about empire state building when I got my MOS transistors to think about? And these MOS things are tiny. OK? I mean tiny!!

nah, my stomach is hardcore.
having said that one really ****ty rheumatologist put me on a huge dose of ibuprofen which i had to take every day. after a couple of weeks i was throwing up every day
(in response to this my gP put me on some different painkillers, then the next time i saw the other GP, he said in the BMJ it said these were incredibly bad for you and shouldn't be given to people... )
It's your ***organised*** lifestyle that makes me quite frightened.
Frightened?! All people should aspire to be as organised as me, think how much better the world would be if they were! I'm an outdoors person, I'm prepared for anything when it comes to being outside, and of course with that comes the inbuilt archaeologist in me! I have new waterproof trousers, two pairs, how cool!
and, im only on ibuprofen, if larger doses than normal. so.
(yes, visesh, despite your beliefs, this will not kill you if taken without.........ZANTAC)
you know whats really sad, my supervisor was convinced i came from a "medical family" because i was like ooh this drug that drug.. he insisted iw as wrong on one point... got home and checked it and i of course was right i didnt really want to say in front of eeveryone "look okay i know what im on about i have been taking these for 18 months i think i have a vague idea what they do"

Actually, I was quite impressed with your First Aid pouch with EVERY variety of sickness pill.
It was quite shocking how your mate just went blue....I was actually a bit worried......
I think I am going to buy myself a pair of waterproof stuff because I dont think I can bring my plastic out again, I felt as if I was gonna fly away in the wind
But then again, I dont think I'll be going on another outing....
