Anyone know where I can buy (cheaply if possible?) one of those book chair (they look like deck chairs but gone wrong and small) things?

Had the strangest night, decided visiting other people's colleges (but not the people, just the buildings!) was a good way to deal with essay stress so ended up wandering in the dark & rain round quite a few! We just wandered around most of them being nosey or trying to find the bars with little success!
We saw Catz bar, didn't like it so didn't go in, went in Corpus' bar (favourite of the night!) but it wasn't serving until 9pm and they had some college do going on so left, then we went to Kings, decided it wasn't worth waiting the 7mins 'til it opened so headed for Sidney. I'm very impressed with the Med/roman appeal of Sidney, couldn't find the bar though but did find some pint glasses on a lawn!
Then we decided to brave Cauis (it looks quite spooky really!) and decided it was nice (but a bit scary still) so stayed there for a bit then came back here to carry on the essays!
I've never been in so many colleges in that space of time, in fact probably been in more tonight than ever before and this was all in the space of an hour & 10mins! Quite fun really, Porters didn't seem to mind us wandering, we didn't make any effort to hide the fact we didn't belong to their colleges!

My neck, wrist & fingers want one! They just bought loads of new nice ones for the library, jealousy overruled and now I want one!

It's so hard trying to concentrate now on my essay, I only had three drinks, tiredness is beginning to show now more than ever!

the only problem is lifting the 4 inch thick books onto the chair in the first place!!

was in the caius senior crew (2nd men) that went past your boathouse today. i can occasionally be seen coxing some novice crews too, though those have yet to be fixed yet, so it's all based on a squad system now for them. apparently i've got a reputation for being slightly... ahem... adventurous as a cox.
At least you don't try and teach your boat French nursery rhymes while they're waiting in a queue! (I hope)

Argh, I hate my life! Two essays to write tomorrow, plus an outing, plus my hatred of myself for my inability to understand men EVER. I love this place, but it drives me insane too.

were the nursery rhymes supposed to improve the crew's sense of timing, or was your cox just being random? coz i've had quite a few vaguely embarassing things done to me by coxes whilst rowing before, and it's actually quite easy and fun to do it to unsuspecting novices

and work just hit me in a big way - 3 essays up to last week, and another 3 essays within 1 day just this wednesday past.

men? we're simple creatures, really. it's women that are difficult to understand... (look at attachments)

I find Catz bar very likeable, thank you very much!

Having said that, I'm a catz student, and also haven't been to any other college bars...

It's not the prettiest, I like the atmosphere there after formal tho. When it's quiet it's a bit of a disappointment.

(hi everyone! long time no post... I too have the FWBs, I have so much work I can't even decide where to begin at the moment. Unfortunately I don't think "nowhere" is the best place.)

 Willa's been bad! Hehehe, what have you done? Do tell

I got a very confused e-mail off a first year medic of the same name as me, telling me that everyone's been taking the piss out of her since this week's Clareifornication (in which I appeared as "Helen the medic" so to first years who don't know everyone's surnames, they assumed it was her!)

KHL, the nursery rhymes were because he was bored. And French. He's quite random like that, but thankfully his coxing is getting vaguely better (it couldn't get worse).

I let the boys steal my diary again last night, and it's been so filled up now with random (mostly filthy) comments, that I don't actually have room to write serious stuff in there! Events now include "Ask randoms 'Do you want to sleep with me' until they say yes," "Say buggery twice before breakfast each morning this week," something illegible about a ginger convention - I'm NOT ginger! and some bizarre little cartoon which I am assured is Eigenvector porn. Whatever an Eigenvector may be.

And yes, it is fifth week blues. Big time. Going to the library now.

They've got me too Partly because I'm not 100% today; but the worst bit is I know it's my own bloody fault for going out the past two nights and not getting any work done before I got ill

well we did two things...the first is some rather artisically positioned cones in north court of emmanuel....which do appear to be in rather bizarre positions.

    The second involves...errrrr.....trophy hunting mayhaps

You can't keep ducks as pets in your room, they're a fire hazard.

Then you'd get deaned unless you signed them in with the porters. And you'd get some funny looks if you signed in that you were spending the night with a few ducks. Very funny looks

Right time to go to the lab, I hope I've got lots of change for the coffee machine!
