they just ask have you had certain immunisations in the last 4 weeks to start off with, but it's a live vaccine so I am pretty sure you cant give blood.

ring the helpline if you want to check.

I did, just after posting; live virus is a five week wait *sigh* Ah well, free Monday afternoon again

Bacteria are pooey. There, just wanted to say it
do Addies have a walk-in blood donation centre, out of interest?

They have a centre, but I think you have to make an appointment. There's also a free bus that goes there, if you didn't already know.

Hehe, I saw Pol tonight and he was wasted! Coming down to Clare, looking for Darwin bar (not near Clare ) poor guy. Also met Minta (and Katie) at Peterhouse formal, which was very nice. And the fact that I'm still typing is a good indication

No, 3 is fine, though usually they only remind you every 4.

Ah. Why does there need to be such a big gap? Surely it doesn't take 3 months to make a pint of blood.

interesting that its 5 weeks because they said to me dont get pregnant for 3 months or as it's live there is a chance your baby would have problems from the rubella component.

baz, I cant find it on their website, but at our donor centre at home you can make appts or jus turn up. (the addies one is a fixed donor centre).

if you do go there why not ask them about apheresis.. i wanted to have it done out of curiosity.. but im too small :frown:

oh.. and if they took it more often.. you might become anaemic and depleted in certain i dont know whats.. from having to replace blood that often ?

Donald and Dave. The said someone with your name, college and subject who knew me was talking to them... That led me to think it was you..

The only other Selwyn people I know are on my dissecting table (don't bother telling her, but I really don't like Elisabeth  )

I saw Helen last night whilst out wandering around town with an umberella I found randomly.

Darwin bar sells cheap Absynth and a friend of mine (who has now joined the "we have ridden the Jesus horse" club  had five shots before throwing up all over the college bar! All the nice post-grad girlies I'd been chatting to left at that point

Pardon my spelling... I'm still drunk from last night!

Did I meet Minta as well? We made it, but quite late! I loved the pudding so much, in fact the whole meal was great, I haven't eaten anything green for a good long while, except lettuce! There's a distinct possibility I may have scared the other Katie with my enthusiasm for archaeology and old things in general, I kept asking questions about the college & the hall we were in! It was all very exciting, I think I grinned throughout!
(At MAGIC in the summer, do you remember asking me why I was carrying an archaeology report of the site? I was so ill that day, I was explaining to Tor last night how I'd met you before, most things in my life seem to come down to archaeology!)

I felt quite antisocial sat on our own table afterwards, still good fun though! I was so good, I came back and read in the library 'til 12:45!
Heylo, there don't seem to be many musos around. I am now very savvy on people applying for natsci and maths, but this isn't all that useful for an arts biddy like me

Subject: Music
College: Gonville and Caius
AS Grades: Music (A), French (A), English (A) Theatre Studies (A)
GCSE Grades: 7 A*, 6a, 1b

Also not seen many people who have done theatre studies applying to Cambridge. Actually, I don't think I have seen any! Is there some taboo about this subject: It is actually really academic, and Footlights are ever in need of theatre people.

AS I CAN SEE THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE APPLYING WITH STRAIGHT As, COULD YOU BE SO KIND AS TO PUT YOUR UMS DOWN AS WELL?
