Yeah, I'll reiterate, supervision reports mean jack ****. I know you're probably all too scared/in awe of your supervisors now, bu if you actually ask them then they don't really have a clue how you'll do and so report what sounds best all round as long as you're not a) ridiculously stupid _and_ don't bother trying b) ridiculously clever and show them up. Talking to one of my supervisors he said he didn't have a clue to write for reports so he did every single one the same, for all subjects and all people. Do not take them seriously.

A.
I did take Neil Dodgson's one moderately serious though. He basically acused for not having my own thoughts. OI, I don't have any ethic!
Alaric, what wine is Diablo supposed to be? I found it in Sainsbury's and Threshers yesterday, but I got the impression that it is red rather white, which is what I remember what you were drinking!

The one I drink is definitely white! It's a the chardonnay version of 2003 I think.

it's amazing how much sense this made in terms of video games and operating system emulation packages.
Am in bioinformatics prac... booooring... Someone entertain me
I don't get bioinformatics, they don't bother telling us about the biology. Here is a hidden markov model... blah blah blah. It's not hard, but it's too much for a 9am lecture.
You got a hex dump for the error? I want to have a look.
Saw Squishy outside cockcroft today just before DM. He actually was there for probabilty . But he said "I can't be bothered" and walked off just before 12.............
If anyone gets to hear of any interesting things happening on Thurs 17th / Fri 18th Feb would you let me know please, I am looking for some things to do with my "shadow".
Something that would be particularly good would be any of the academic societies that maybe have evening lectures? I'm not sure if she's actually biology-inclined or not, yet, so tell me about everything I know BioSoc & SciSoc don't have anything on then but please let me know about any other societies with regular evenings on Thurs/Fri nights.
She'll only be going to 1 lecture with me so it might be interesting for her perhaps and let her see some different parts of the uni.
Let me know about anything else interesting going on though - preferably something near to Pembroke, not expensive, & not involving alcohol.
I am thinking of taking her to soem stand up in Pem on the friday night but am open to any ideas. I think they will be giving us a sheet of ideas nearer the time but tell me anyway.
