... Take my han... I'm not going to carry on.

Halfway Hall is fun. I recommend it. Almost makes up for being halfway through your time here.
I will be knocking myself out at the formal tonight.

YES!

I will be knocking myself out at the formal tonight.

DUE TO PERSONAL REASONS.

Must be going to bed. Thanks for points guys. I am either not going to make the shower tomorrow morning, or the lecture at 9am... or both.

Showering is much more important than lectures!!

Considering there's a formal tonight... yes.

I just noticed that the water in my tap is not hot enough... I'm in for a cold shower... The worst of the day is stilll to come. Someone save me from this living hell..

I know:frown: Odd, but way cool.

I think it is because he rarely leaves the Oxbridge subforum....

Carol Ann Duffy's "Valentine". The last line says "Cling to your knife". It's the same way as "Cling to your life".

Now that I read these lines again, especially from Visesh. "Odd, but way cool." was probably intended to be "Odd, but way fool". :bawling:

Yes and no. I have to work in the library and eating some pasta will be slotted in around that, between a lecture and a super.

i had to as well, but i really like it. i emailed it to my bf yesterday.

on a scary note, two of my friends at queens (first year) have just GOT ENGAGED!!! they have been going out for about 4 months, same as me and terry, and now they are going to get married! i'm really happy for them, and they are obviously very much in love, but it is slightly scary.

That poem is meant to be synical. Not much of Valentine's choice in my opinion. Let's just hope your bf didn't analyse it as much as I did back in GCSE. It is one of my favourite poems around.

You can prove that no one in this world can write a chain of random numbers. You need some sort of randomising machine in order to do that, e.g. a computer or something.

Wow, that is quite scary! Four months and engaged already... phew.

Loads of my friends seem to be getting married. I've got two pairs getting married this summer, one pair that married last summer... I feel old. Everyone seems to get married so young here!

well, he really liked it. he understood the cynicism but thought the symbolism of an onion made a whole lot of sense!

So the story goes...

We met during the summer of 1954. After a week, we were engaged. Two months after that, we were married. And 50 years gone, we are still togother.

Scary as it may seem, some people are just meant for each other. Doesn't matter how soon the marriage happens. What matters is that they can find each other. Then after that, as we say, the rest is history.
