Well even if you were with someone for ages, it's probably best to get engaged after say, university - people change, after all, and go down different directions, wants different things etc... Getting engage at such an early age, say, 16, or something, is probably not a good idea I think.

some idiot was in vasrity or TCS banging on aboupt it last week, ooh im getting married im soooo special we are gonna wear matching green hoodies to our wedding (the bride wears hers back to front with holes cut in the hood - presto instant veil that can recycled for bondage or visits to Afghanistan)

but i'm getting worried about my behaviour now! I was in the library the other day looking at the science periodicals for this week (new science etc) and there was this religious one. And on all the periodicals are stickers saying "Not to be taken away" and suddenly the most amazing idea hit me: cross out the "away" and write "seriously" on the religious one. If I had been drunk at that moment I reckon I would have done it there and then.....grrr @ religion
