Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

Camford
I was fluent with my pen ages ago, not with my mouth. Still not quite fluent with my mouth yet...

Ahhh, ok...Isn't it normally the other way around?!
Why is it wet outside, rather than three inches deep in snow?! Why does Cambridge have to be different from everywhere else?! I want snow :frown:

it was starting to snow this morning.

I don't know. I'm just odd, I guess.

It attempted to snow yesterday morning and last night too... but it failed miserably!

It's far too cold to be any good these days... I need a pot full of hot stuff to warm myself up with.

when you live where me and shuai do you get to feel like its snowing every day.

I can confirm from 5:30am-about 8:40am it was indeed snowing and actually beginning to stick...to my face at least! I loved rowing this morning, my mates now think I am actually insane but it was really fun! (Especially being the least hungover member of the crew!)

Lol since our victory on saturday my boat seem totally ****ed! Not only have I got my cough I've had for 2 weeks now (Any medic know what the hell I can do about it!!!) but half the crew are vomitting and the rest can barely stand up. VICTORY SHOULDNT DO THIS TO US!

hehehehe lol well serve your crew right for getting drunk I suppose

Have some honey water - good for coughs/sore throat

they didnt get drunk! they are just genuinely ill!

Fair enough - they overworked themselves then, before the race. How do you row properly when you're vomitting anyway? - they should've just stayed home and had a rest.

Btw what on earth do you mean by 5th week blues?
Reply 13773
he did say "since our victory on saturday" perhaps implying they were only struck down since Saturday.

5th week = the 5th week of term
blues = slang term for depression or feeling down

honestly

Helen  Good formal at John's? 5:30am is really not far enough away!
They've organised the 1st VIII coach for us...they will not be pleased at thge state of my crew!!

Oh dear God I have not been that drunk in a LONG time. Was much much fun, but rowing this morning was not, considering that 5 of us were disgustingly hungover and sleep deprived. As formals go though, this one was even more successful than the Pembroke one!

I do NOT appreciate snow when I am rowing

The way it's phrased doesn't make sense though... ahh well.

Lol I think I got confused with him getting drunk for a korfball victory. Still don't understand why you'd go rowing when you're that ill though.

They weren't ill for the race, only afterwards, I think. Otherwise they'd never have won. And you row when you're ill because boaties are stupid. And because if you don't go, the whole crew can't go out and they get annoyed that you've been wasting their time. It's crazy, I know.
Reply 13777
did you read the rest of what I said? apart from his 2-week-cough, what he said implies they only got ill SINCE THEY WON, ok?

and what do you mean about phrasing?

Oh, really, does this mean you need reporting this week :p:

WTF is going on with the weather?!?!?! I don't know if it's ever safe to go out: bright sunshine, snow, sunshine, hail, snow, sunshine, snow... WTF?
