well i dont know if i totally trust them as well - i always feel lacking in clothes at the end of term - i dont think they're stealing them i just think they lose clothes (get clothes put in the wrong bags etc). It gets v frustrating when you run out of tshirts or white socks etc...especially when i go through so many rowing!

Meh I'll have to do my own laundry in Notts :frown: and screw the Jubilee campus is so damn expensive! - only that and Uni Park does catered and I want catered... :frown: Wish Peters Court did catered cus it's en-suite, same price as the single study bedrooms AND it's on the site where QMC is, right where my lectures will be! - but it's self-catered........ :frown: :frown: :frown:

Accommodation fees are so expensive....

1) Doing your own laundry does not make you deprived. It really is not a big deal, especially when ya only washing clothes for one of you!

2) Catered is rubbish, you will eat much better and more cheaply if you go self-catering, and you will also be much better-placed to cope when you start living in the genuine "real world".

You know you want to bash your clothes dry with your bare hands! Yes, go bashing!

Well, the point was I'd left it too late and forgotten to get them, so I had to leave them in there to fester over lunchtime. All ok now though

Hmm I suppose that's true. I'm just not that keen on cooking. Although I suppose once I get into it I'll end up wanting to make my own food soon enough - 2nd year maybe :p:
Doing your own cooking/washing is fine. I'm an overworked architecture student who spends very little time in my college (and therefore miss meals in hall) but i still ahve time. its really not a big deal. i know people who go home to get their clother washed! sad, sad people.
and talking of colleges, my room balloting is this evening!! eek. there are some rooms left in old court apparantly, otherwise we'll be in a college house, which won't be bad - freezer, oven etc!
I got my badge and my admission card for the "Scholars" dinner at Robinson's on 17th... My own PERSONALISED Badge!! My own, it's mine! IT'S MINE!!! (It's not Terry's, It's mine)

I got my room ages ago. Will be living in college next year. Very expensive room though, the most expensive cat if I remember correctly. But I will be warm during winter next year. That's the most important thing.

Now I'm started to wonder what I should wear for the day... I can take the bus to Robinson in the afternoon. But I'll have to walk back to Pembroke afterwards. If I were to wear a suit, then I won't have any coat to go with the suit. And if I don't wear a suit, I'll look stupid at the dinner.... Argh~~~~~ Should have turned the dinner down. But the temptation of being invited as a "Scholar" is just too big to miss.

He bashed all the right buttons...

And some wrong ones as well...

In the word of Andrew Pitts "The Finite Automata has accepted the string of input, and reached the accepted states..."

I can see now why they have invited me... I LOVE my subject...

No you dope! Robinson didn't organise the dinner. Cambridge Trust did.

Patch: I forgot to mention that I am invited by the Cambridge Overseas Trust, AKA COT.
