Erm, you'll be lucky - you have to get permission off the proctors or something. Think there's a big Tesco's out by the Grafton centre or somewhere; not really sure - Sainsbury's is my place, even if it is a massive rip-off half the time

isnt there a new ASDAs? (please say there is!!)

Erm, don't know. If there is, it's not in the town centre.
Hmm... I can't remember if I've posted on this thread yet, it's getting so long! I'm Sam, and I have an offer to do natural sciences (physical) at St. Johns college... I really didn't think I would get an offer so I tried not to get my hopes up by spending hours visiting Cambridge and talking to people/looking at websites and stuff, and was proper shocked when I got an offer, so it turns out I don't know a whole lot about St. Johns! So what do you all know about St. Johns? All I know is that it's big, old, has courtyards and stuff, and has a really nice cake shop right near it where I pigged out after I had my interview (food kills the pain....)
There's an ASDA in the Beehive Centre...that's not very close to the university though.

Huh..! I worked for Asda/Walmart! I managed a whole three and a bit weeks on nights... It was the bakery in the Eastleigh one and all I ever heard was, come on - Havant are only £700 ahead of us.. Make more! Sell more! Sell more!

It's in hand  The Admissions Tutor from Girton said it'll be bouncy if I have a valid excuse...

I have a valid excuse (safety of car, having nowhere else to put it, etc). I'll park it elsewhere in Cambridge if nec. A friend at Soton uni came to an agreement with a local publican to be able to park her car in his carpark for the first year when she was in halls..
