Crit - Done! YAY and it went well. the visiting critic said my building was imaginative and ingenious! and its sunny. hooray for holidays! i would be even happier if Terry didn't have to go to Birmingham this weekend for another judo competition! grr... he was in oxford for the varsity match last weekend.
No, it's for Science Week. The marquee's not actually in Downing College, it's on the Downing Site which is where about half the science lecture theatres and labs are.
edit: speaking of Science Week - I am demonstrating in the CHaOS Science Demo thing in the Zoology Dept tomorrow! If anyone's bored, come and play with some experiments!
Oupsi sorry, i got confused *once more feels like a ******* *once more tries to find an exuse* surely i got a bit too enthusiastic that for once the name of my future college appeared on this forum *agrees that she could find a much better exuse* ... *feels that the intellectual inferiority complex is back*

I REALLY have to stop disagreeing with you!! Sorry!!
This one is definitely an easy mistake to make After all, the Downing Site does rather sound like the site of Downing.... For future reference though, it's a lecture/lab place. Is right next door to Downing - hence Downing is fairly popular for Natsci! (Pembroke is right in the middle of the two major NatSci sites so is even more so!)
Sorry, I sounded quite like I was putting you down there... I just established for certain it was for Science Week because that's where the official launch is taking place (even though Science Week supposedly started on Wednesday...) with - get this - a Blue Peter presenter! Wow!

Which one?! I hope it's not the annoying blonde...
well, i'm not leaving til monday! hehe i'm going SHOPPING today, the first time this term, and i mean actual girlie shopping not just boring sainsburys shopping
Oh she's not too bad. I've actually come to quite like her. What college was she at - Robinson? She's meant to be extremely bright, so it's nice to see someone following their heart jobwise rather than being sucked into the City.

Hehe thx I think i just generally talk too much, too quickly and since there was a marquee on the paddock in Downing College last week, when u mentionned a marquee on Downing Site i just made a link... hehe weird coincidence... nyway I made a mental note that Downing site doesnt = the site of Downing ! Well anway hope u have nice holidays and think of us all "poor" students preparing for exams and meeting requirements... grrr 6weeks only

We have exams too, don't worry! I think I have 10 weeks, so 2 weeks per paper. Why does this not seem long enough?! Good luck with revision/exams everyone, and try to have a bit of a break too!

I'm having this week "off" and not doing any work unless I get really bored, then going to the boatrace for the weekend (Henley and Tideway) before settling down for hardcore cramming. Still not decided about what to do next year

I have to (read for and) write a dissertation before I can start revising. I am soooo screwed
i'm taking this week off too. i'm planning to spend it with my family and friends and my boy and get some serious tv watching hours in. My friend is getting married on Easter Sunday. THEN the work starts . not looking forward to it at all...
I'm not taking any time off I officially started revision yesterday night but I also have my project and dissertation to do as well as job seeking stuff. I'm going to be using revision as my relaxing time and project as working time.
Hopefully by the end of Easter I'll have exceeded last year's 10 days and will have revised the most ever... all depends on the project going well though
