Argh. Done the second draft. Sent emails off to my supervisor and DoS, they're going to think I'm mad.

Project totals:
11970 word dissertation (84 pages including appendices and everything).
11378 lines of Java.

I think my eyes are going to bleed.

Well I hope it's just about finished! I'm at the stage where I'm too tired to care any more. Waiting for my dos and super to get back to me, but I'm tempted just to go and hand it in now.

lol, I've sort of gotten to the same stage myself, I'm trying to revise for a mock myself at the same time as posting:rolleyes:

hmmm, have been asked if I'd like to row for first boat. Had to say no. Getting first Mays colours would be amazing, but failing because of it would not. Sucks.

oh helen, that was the wrong answer. Clare are gonna rock this coming may bumps, it was your chance to be part of an amazing boat! Is it likely that you were actually gonna FAIL? I agree that rowing makes you drop perhaps a grade, but I wouldnt have thought people actually fail because of it!

Why did they ask you though? Has someone dropped out or something? Did you just get too good!?
um...... Alaric isn't in the lab...
dropping a grade seems like quite the sacrifice to me? :| If you're below a 2.1 you really can't afford to be dropping grades, if you're on a 2.1 you don't want to end up with a 2.2 when you could have gotten a 2.1, and if you're on a first, hell you're going to get a first! who gives up a first? =P

should he be? shouldnt he be in the pub celebrating finished dissertation?

Nah, I haven't quite finished, I got an email back from my dos saying the content was great but my english needed polishing, and I used far too many commas. So now I have a set of rules for commas and semicolons and colons open in front of me and I'm examining every damned comma in the dissertation.

Bleh, such a perfectionist, I should have just said to hell with it, presentation is only 14%.

hehe that sucks...Surely, commas are, to some degree, subjective, in their use? :p: Harsh to be marked down, it is... <oooooh nearly 24 hours to gooooo!!!!!>

not when you use as many needlessly as you did in that sentence.

Needless does not have to equal incorrect, though; just inefficient/inelegant etc. etc..
