Yes, the heavier you are, and the taller you are, the longer and more powerful your stroke. Height, unlike weight, isnt considered a factor when it comes to erg times, because a short person should take advantage of their shorter stroke by rating higher than the taller rowers. Ergs dont care about rushing the slide so much, so you can get away with rate 36 etc, whereas a tall rower will find that much more work cos they have so much further to travel up and down the slide! That's why weight is the only one that gets adjusted for. And keep in mind that your adjusted time may well be a lot quicker than your actual time, but according to the scale I think that the adjusted time is the time somebody would get if they were just as good as you but weighed 100kg! So adjusted times are only good to compare to other people's adjusted times, they're not v useful on their own i dont think!
