i dont really notice that;. possibly because boaties attend lectures less.
Really?! Theyre EVERYWHERE!! I usually wonder what happens to Corpus, Christs, Churchill, Clare and Clare hall when it comes to the boat club abbreviation...

well... OK i do see quite a lot. But at least there's a lot of variation. They don't all have one identical hoodie. Plus they don't try to mob me outside lectures and give me pamphlets about how I'm damned.
we are PCBC pembroke college. I guess it's OK because Peterhouse hasn't got a "college" so they could just be PBC ( I don't know if they actually are or not). If it was a problem, our abbreviation is also V for Valence which is why bikes from pembroke have Vs not Ps.

Yeah, Peterhouse are PBC
Clare and Caius I know are both CBC, but we're very different colours (Clare are black and yellow; Caius are as close to Cambridge Blue as they can get ). Corpus are CCCBC I believe, and a bit of a non-entity in rowingland. Dunno about Christ's/Churchill but they both have the name of the college rather than the initials on the back, so it's obvious. And the colours are different too. The main objection I have to boatie kit is that it's soooooooo expensive!

I KNOW!! 35 quid for a tech top. ridiculous! d'you know how many tee shirts you could buy in asda for that?
YEAH BABY....i absoutely mullered my pb, 7:02.6....took 8 seconds off my PB!!! WOOOOOOOOO! And I found out that I am indeed the lightest member of dev squad, so with that time I reckon I did quite well!
corpus is indeed cccbc (the cricket team is ccccc). believe it or not we have three men's boats. the boyfriend has spent around £500 on stash somehow. he does rowing, tennis, football, some other random sports and he's in christs' "badger sqaudron" whatever the hell that is, and he has a t-shirt with "bud the spud" on the sleeve for that (i don't know why). he also got a jacket made with "university of cambridge" on the back in bright yellow (he copied my lauren one). i've tried to burn it, because of course no one will know he's at cambridge without it...
hahahaha we went on formal with badger squadron a couple of weeks ago. it was funny. & christ's bc is ccbc (and ccwbc), helen . am so not wearing my splash top at home though, people will think i'm an evangelical christian, ooh dear...
