you must know the bf then...altho he probably didn't go on the formal becos we still had exams. do u know stu? i went overnight punting with the "christs' massive" during may week, it was comedy, a lot of them fell in in very VERY funny ways.

my dad tries to stop me from wearing any stash at home, he says it's pretentious. i say it's comfy.

I say screw the parents.
Wow, Shameless is back on C4. Isn't it supposed to be set in Liverpool?

stu in the second year? if it's him then yeah, he's a mate, most people at christ's know each other, it's not that big  my housemate went overnight punting as well although i don't know if it was on the same trip. quite a few people i know went though, i think. i heard quite a few things about people falling in, didn't someone get left on the bank at 4am as well?

Which Christ's boat did you row for? Your W1 got blades didn't they?

I don't have a splashtop, couldn't afford one, but I might get one next term for looking official at Novice Regatta

how bored is camfo??!

I am so bored, that I just spent last hour trying to install some stuff on SuSE. And failed to make it work.

I was in W3, so no bumps for us! Our W1's blades was fantastic, my best friend was the captain this year and was needless to say quite happy about it!

Are you LBC next year? I'm doing it jointly with another girl, should be fun

No, I'm not, but I'll be involved in organising Novice Regatta as our boat club runs it. You might be getting e-mails from me sometime in the future! One of my best friends is LBC though, so I might be doing some coaching as well. I'm not rowing though, need some time out and I don't fancy uni IVs.

yeah, i don't think i'll row much next term - it would mean being up early nearly every morning i reckon, because of novice coaching as well, and my course next year is going to be haaard :frown: also don't fancy senior fairbairns much
Going to Taiwan tomorrow! Woo!

Only two outings into dev squad and I've already lost a major pad of skin, the whole pad of my hand on my feathering hand is red raw, and i've drawn blood on one of my fingers in what looks to be a rather deep and nasty cut! ARGH the pain, what have I let myself in for!

seriously - watch those cuts when you row - someone is in intensive care with septicaemia from dangling her leg (with a cut on it) into the cam during may week. :frown:

oo, yuk, my friend had septicaemia and it was really serious (but it was meningococcal). I hope your friend gets better quickly and without any long-term damage :frown:

She's a freind of a freind (don't even know her name) but is such bad luck in may week? how many people fall in/swim in/row on the cam and don't suffer at all?

Life can be really unfair sometimes.

One (kind of) fortunate thing about the timing is that she can hopefully have the whole summer to recouperate and be able to come back next term instead of probably having to degrade and miss a year..

mmmm I feel like any day my luck is gonna run out! I've been battered and bruised so many times from rowing it seems like it's only a matter of time before something infects me! Here's hoping it never happens though! (whenever i get cuts each time we stop I do wash them off with my drinking water, so hopefully that helps!)

edit: And jesus christ you dont want to be in cambridge atm, these storms are roaringly loud!

They're ace! My room has a view over Cambridge off to Johns chapel mainly and I've got my lights off so I can see it all properly. Oh to have an SLR camera so I could take some proper shots of the sky lit up by it!
