I went to collect a load of stuff from my old kitchen today, and what do I discover.....the kitchen is empty! I run around trying to find a bedder and it turns out they decided to chuck out everything in the kitchen! I then have to spend my morning sifting through bin liners trying to find the stuff that was in the kitchen! I dont know whether I got it all, but I've now got 4 bin liners worth of stuff in my room (it's not all mine, I saved other people's stuff who had gone home!). But when it came to the food, not only did I have to give up my efforts to salvage stuff any of it (at least £20 worth of food) but also it turns out some of my alcohol and drink which I had taken from the may ball or bought had gone missing! I reckon those rude americans stole it! First they take my room, and then they just wonder in to my kitchen and steal a whole crate worth of coke, and then they steal my alcohol, which included a near full bottle of Pimm's which I had bought! I'm seriously pissed off. How rude do you get....you don't go stealing other people's stuff, I'm already annoyed at some of my fellow students who have walked off with some of my kitchen utensils (seive, frying pan etc!!! The stuff which they couldnt be arsed to buy which I went and forked out for!!!) but now some greedy bastards have come along and stolen my drink! I'd love to find out who it was who thought they'd struck it lucky by finding my stash....I'd have at least a few things to say to them!
Grrr I'm pretty sure I've lost at least £50 worth of stuff today......it's really annoying! Cos I really can not afford to be losing valuable goods like this, I really do not have the money!
No Helen, stay focussed....7 more years rowing....the olympics is your destiny!....
I think I'm too short - I saw some of the GB squad girls who were training at Marlow the same time as us and they're enormous! I know I'm not small, but not quite THAT big or good enough.

It's a damn good reason to buy the cheap **** crockery etc. No one would want to steal my 70s stylee hand-me-down cutlery . Some bastards did steal my teaspoons though, which weren't quite as distinctively red and old
You think conference guests are bad? It's the language school kids who can act like complete tossers; apparently some countries are generally well behaved though, the Taiwanese in Clare last year were apparently particularly nice.
its v scary. i go to kings cross station all the time! we're watching CNN in Taiwan to find out what hapened. hope everyone's ok!
yeah if I was one year younger I may well have been in kings cross at the time! The open day has reported quite a few no-shows from students, and students were worried earlier they might not be able to get home! Although apparently trains have resumed service so all is well!
We'll get over this, we knew it was coming, we can't act all suprised!
it's still horrible though i hope my london friends are ok.
Bizarrely enough when I first heard and remembered where my ex lived my first thought was if his family was ok, although in actual fact I don't really know where they live anyway, just know the city. And I've seen one of my TSR-er friends who's in London come on msn so I know he's ok
