Assassins Guild! I challenge to you duel! A duel only ends when one of us bites the other to death!

Hrm... out of interest, just how geeky /is/ the AG, on a scale of 1-10?

9-10.

Some of them sit talking on irc to each other from the same table, very very odd behaviour, I've witnessed it a few times whilst attempting to do work in a computer room.

I was just telling my mum about it over dinner table. She... well... she was a 0.5 so... well, you can guess it.

Thats not bad, But computer programming is just boring, unless you're an antisocial psycho  Highly unlikely for Cambridge students :p:

Vhisko
 No offense to any computer programmers

Pays well enough though

if they had to be quiet so as not to disturb people that's entirely rational... if not...well..

Hrm... well I've done that. Even worse, we were actually talking via the coded command in a text-MUD. We had the /excuse/ that we were trying not to disturb the people around us, but frankly it was a poor one. :s-smilie:

Perhaps this isn't the kind of thing I should be admitting to people.

Depends whether faux-Mediaeval costume is better or worse than Trek costumes. I think almost the entire LARP society are assassins. The average is probably am 8.5 I suppose. With a large number of hardcore 9-10ers, and a few 5-6ish people.

My freinds are the few 5-6 ers, although I'm sure the longer they spend on irc the further they slip towards 7-8...

They love it though! I like to crash the assassin parties - lots of free alcohol

LARPy people scare me too. A guy I know gave himself repetitive strain injury from opening and resealing small plastic rings to make himself a suit of chain mail.

Talking about scores of 9+, I found this short movie quite funny (end is the best).
had an incident with the AG - my friend's a member. it was not a good experience - the group that descended upon us in a corridor at Newhall were some of the saddest losers i've ever come accross. It ended up with my friend 'dead' for avenging an attck on an innocent carrying a 'knife' - it was a ruler and he's an architecture student!
I like your turtle Xyro! :p:

Being laid back has its advantages - like the lack of stress

:sheep:

Although as laid back as me isn't exactly a good idea. I actually gave my friends the impression that I never stress lol! when I was in tears the day before my English Lit AS exam  hey I never read one of the text! - I would panic!
Dear lordies  London!

Yeah WOHOO we bumped again. It was much harder than we thought, we didnt get whistles until coming into first post corner, and then suddenly had constant whistles for overlap. Then the stupid cox in front of us was just refusing to conceed, and eventually one of the officials on the bank told one of our bank party it was a bump and we could hold it up....but that was all the way just past the plough! When we stopped loads of people were shouting "YOU HAVEN'T BUMPED, KEEP ROWING!" but as far as we are aware we got the bump.

Which means: WE'RE STILL ON FOR BLADES. Oh my god I really hope we don't piss it up tomorrow, we're not chasing Cantabs 3 at least, but we've got a feeling the crew we're chasing will be giving it everything to stay away from us, and it's the worst feeling to come so close to blades but be denied at the last hurdle! I REALLY WANT BLADES. Come on we can do it!

In other news, the guy who's intrigued about my java skills said that we're the type of person they're looking for and has confirmed an interview....things are looking up for me, I'm just dreading what it is gonna be that is gonna bring me down from this high, I feel really lucky at the moment, everything is going right for me! This week has been great! I just hope tomorrow we can finish the job!
