NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I came so close to First division blades, I still can't believe it, that was my chance, probably my only ever chance at first division blades, and we didn't get it! We came to within a canvas, at one point perhaps had some overlap, but definitely had a canvas, and we were still gaining I'm sure....and then someone further back in the boat caught a crab and it was all over, we had to do a row-over (the crab was half way down the reach....so it's questionable as to whether we would have caught the crew ahead in time, but I reckon if we had made just one more huge push we would have made the bump). I'm so devastated, I'm so sure that that was it, my one chance at blades, and I didn't get it! I knew my luck would run out eventually, the only consolation is I personally felt like I had a good row, but clearly not good enough....grr I'm so pissed off!
