i think it does. however we tend to get less spam anyway, because the uni email addresses are more unusual than standard hotmail/gmail.com ones

Yeah, but that's no excuse for spams though. I don't get spams in my hotmail account anymore.

I always register to forums with mine :smile: Also, Microsoft shuts down hotmail (email) accounts if they haven't been used for a month or so.
There's a guy slightly resembles stephen hawking on bbc1 at the moment.

yeah... for the last 6 months I got 0 spam in hotmail, but 1+ in hermes, which makes it infinite times more.

well... I don't know, I just do. :confused: My hotmail junk mail blocker is set to low and still don't spams.

you use strict filters, be careful of where/to whom you give your email address etc etc. hence spam is stopped

i'm glad my hotmail is so random now. my previous one was fairly bog standard, so i had all these indian fanatics emailing/msn'ing me to be their friend/join this uprising bla blah. joy
