Just wondering, is this the largest thread on TSR? Or does it not even come close?

this is the largest thread. the others don't even come close  we worked long and hard to overtake the football thread and the harry potter thread last year :p:

well, we are the 2nd largest, if you include the subs threads as well
the subs thread has had over 17k posts while this thread had only 1k.

bloody spammers:rolleyes:
You lot is doing very well in le criquet. My team is perpetually pooey.

i'm off to canada- not really very sorted...suitcase is yet to be fully packed, washing is still being done. ahh organisation...i triumph at it

mow the grass first thing in the morning, (after half 7 anyway) then you get plenty of time for cricketwatching. clean up at night, stalk tsr in between innings

Canada, meh, now I'm jealous of you again. I've been wanting to visit Canada for the last couple of years, never made it out of Europe yet. I could _see_ Asia from Istanbul last summer but I didn't make it there.

I didn't manage to get up in time to get to my meeting with my bank manager in time, let alone mow the grass before the cricket!

alaric- stalk tsr in between overs (thank you visesh for enlightening me in the technicalities of cricket matches :p:)

I can multi-task, watching and surfing simultaneously, but I can't stay on TSR all day because all of the stupid acceptable use policy of my ISP.

I'm not entirely convinced we'll bowl 'em out today. They won't get 302 runs, but eight wickets is pretty hard going.

I'm not going to be living in, but will be living adjacent to (in Tower Hamlets), the 4th worst place in the country, Hackney. Should I be worried?

I met Roll Deep when I did charity/christian work in Tower Hamlets. They were just hanging out. It was very ghetto, like the back of an NWA album.

by that it would be better than nottingham and only mariginally worse than where me and visesh live, and we think its fine here and in nottingham. so you should be fine too.

I thought tower hamlets was worse anyway, its made out to be well bad.

Just dont get any buses to Hackney and youll be reet
Tower Hamlets? *comes to talk to Alaric about applying to Cambridge*

I think it just is - I went there for a party after the boatrace. Driving there was scary.
I nearly went to the boat race actually. Watched it on the telly instead. I went to Henley Finals and saw the men win "The Ladies Plate". And then got confused because Eton also wear Cambridge Colours.

or more like: because cambridge also wear Eton colours
Well - I knew the Cambridge colours, and so I clapped the Eton boat especially vigorously. My hosts thought I was a bit bizarre.

I think it is in Kent, but as a Man of Kent, it's a lil bit close to London for my liking!

Not intending to get buses to Hackney, I think I'll walk (or take the tube if it's torrential rain). I'm about a hundred yards from Stepney Green tube. It seems a curious mix of city workers and the real locals. There are some pretty run down looking areas but I'm on a main road so I'm a bit more connected and a little less feeling as if I'm in a bad area. Only about a hundred yards to the nearest ex LA towerblocks though. It's not the suburbs!

I'll come to Cambridge! Woot! Will they take me? I only have a degree from 16 years of education...

Where abouts do you go in Tower Hamlets? When do you go?

we have tower blocks in our burbs..

reminds me of something funny: in St Anns (innercity more than suburb) there was one smallish council towerblock that was full of crack dens and was pretty scuzzy and nasty. They are now trying to sell the flats as "luxury apartments". It's really not working.

Hehe that's working in East London though, take Shoreditch High street for instance, derelict boarded up buildings jostling with buildings with one bed flats for 200-250pw

It's all mad.
