i'm back in cambridge at last, in my tiny grade 1 room - but at least i got the internet up and running without having to see the computer office once....which is truly incredible because so often something goes wrong! Anyhow's, I best start thinking about where on earth I am gonna arrange all of my stuff, and how inventive I can be with a microwave.
Hope you did yourself justice, or whatever it is one does in these things.
nah, i flopped it unfortunately. I sat down on the erg to warm up and my legs felt tired. This made sense since I had had a long cycle ride last week but I thought my legs had recovered by this stage. So anyway, by this time I had got myself in a pessimistic mood, and sure enough when I started about 100m in I felt like my legs had given everything. I was pulling everything with my back, and it was terrible, and every bit of pain I didn't suck up, I just used as an excuse to explain my terrible split. I ended up with 7:11, which is nowhere near my best achievable time....but I'm trying to look on the brightside: they are looking for improvement not just basic performance, and since that time was quite bad I KNOW that if I was properly rested I can perform much better. So at least my second 2k test (whenever that is) should be significantly better than this one
I'm just getting up now to go shopping. I would have been in Telford an hour ago for an eye test but they rang to cancel. Therefore if I should have any eyesight-related accidents between now and December, it's their fault for not having a spare test slot free before Friday
