Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

I have three, and two of them are "optional".

Friday seems pretty full though:|

Surely, your brain protection is your skull.

The essence of good protection is that you can seriously mess up the protection without serious consequences. It's not all that great to prevent serious brain damage but fracture your skull in 3 places. If you damage your bike helmet the worst thing that happens is you buy a new one. Your skull is good for every day stuff but not for hurtling head first into the road or cars.

I have 2 lectures tomorrow
Lauren
Which ones? I only have one

Which ones? 9 to 1 ones... 4 Lectures! 4! man I am going to be dead :argh:. On the plus side, I get to sit in a high tech lecture theatre for all of them...

Yeah, but then your helmet would be your skull protection.

You could call them all your life protection if you prefer. Or your anti-PVS protection.
Vincent, your signature karaoke song is "Respect" By Aretha Franklin

Ooh, what you got sure is sweeter than honey. Sassy and adventurous, you're gutsy and don't take any guff from anybody. You know what you want and you go after it. Period.

A risk-taker with a sizable dose of common sense and a lot of street smarts, you're a motivated person who isn't afraid of a little challenge. How else will you achieve your big dreams if you don't take some chances along the way? From the boardroom to the karaoke stage, you're sure to command everyone's attention. So go ahead and sing it. You've more than earned a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

You gotta be kidding me....
Um... just read tomorrow's lecture list again. Is that Prof L. C. Paulson I see on the list ?!?!?!?!

Logic and Proof. It's quite dry really.

Whereas at 8am being lectured on proprietary (flat file) databases, I'm doing soooo much better

Just had a really annoying outing! I thought I had corrected my lurching forward for the catch earlier on in the week, but now it seems to have returned, and what's worse, i seem to have developed a load of new problems with my back end body position. Grrr I feel like i've taken a massive step backwards. and they're binning some people in a few days time as well, it's really annoying cos i thought i wasn't at risk of being binned cos i thought i was making improvements in my technique, but this has just made me feel really concerned. I want to get back out on the river to try and fix these problems but tomorrow we have just a land training session. I feel so crap suddenly :frown:
My FAB super is an absolute legend.

My FAB super is an absolute legend.

You have Parkyn, right? Legend indeed

I'm still not used to this reading papers lark.

Bah! You're a third year! We had to read a bunch of papers LAST year.

I think I was probably meant to, but textbooks and dissection manuals etc got in the way. In fact I did read a few reviews here and there, but none of this 3-references-per-lecture thing. Too many keenos in my lot though, I'm going to have to work properly this year.

Visesh, FAB was my best subject in first year, I really enjoyed it.

I have to find a costume for a Moulin Rouge themed ent tomorrow night. Wtf do I do?
Reply 19196
Yeah, that would be a bit scary.

We mainly read them properly for supervisions.
Lauren
Corset, hot pants, fishnets, heels, lots of confidence and not much dignity

I don't own the first two of them, left the fishnets at home and I'm not just going in heels! :p: It will probably involve lots of feathers and a mask, they're easy.

Don't. I never dress up for themed ents and no-one has ever cared.

It's a tempting option, especially as nobody there will have a clue who I am but I'm sure my boy (:p: ) would be disappointed if I don't. Suspect he may be able to get over it though.
