Cambridge Chat (previously New Cambridge Students Entry 2004)

You need the new HouseKeeper 7000 Robot....

Patch: which will be available in roughly 500 years... if not 5000 years.

ok, i'm going. i mean it. for at least a week this time. clearly i'm going to need to wean myself off. bleh, the caffeine is making me crazy! Why am i so tired this early when i only woke up 11 hours ago?? also no more caffeine from now on. i will go to bed early and wake up early and go to lectures work and avoid pissing about on the net and make time for peter and my friends and excercise and proper cooking and everything else without having a nervous breakdown. grrrr i just need to be better at everything really.

Last year I blue tacked a list of things I was supposed to be doing by my door, so I'd remember to do them and I'd feel guilty if I didn't. Worked reasonably well. Didn't manage to get much on the list done, I think only my 12st weight target was reached, the first didn't happen etc...

It was a good motivator though, should you wish to change yourself.

Women shouldn't get drunk.

Au contraire.

I should make it clear that "Women shouldn't get drunk" and "I'm so drunk. I'm sorry" are still Vicki's quotes.

i'm only doing this because my word is my honour, and vicki made me shake on it. So here are some memorable quotes a la vicki (from tonight)

I didn't know pork wasn't a red meat!?

I only eat ugly animals....yes Chickens are ugly.

I never said I was clever.

Women shouldn't get drunk.

I'm so drunk. I'm so sorry.

I wont go on without her permission though.

How much worse did it get, exactly?! And I maintain that I am NOT the kind of girl who makes a habit of pulling people randomly - I can't believe you would think that of me! :frown: Did you have a good night anyway?

Just to clarify, Will was not drunk, despite my best efforts to penny him. I think he only had 2 or 3 glasses of wine. To my eternal shame, I only had 4 glasses of wine and 2 VK Oranges.

Were you drinking or not Will? Cos I seem to remember you not being able to handle your alcohol so well

Grrr, was meant ot be having formal with Maggie men this week but the stupid choir booked most of the hall so we haven't got enough tickets. They're not going to be pleased with me when I tell them we have to rearrange.

the drunk and random sense

In fairness, I had been playing sport all day and had only had a yoghurt and a banana to eat. I wasn't hideously drunk, but I don't like getting too drunk so for me it was more than enough. And the random was random but not that random. I'll PM you to explain.

and most of my vodka and red bull in life as memory serves

And I was pretty drunk straight after formal, you just didn't see me. Me and one of our coxes were following this crowd of people we presumed were heading to the bar, they actually ended up going in to the chapel, where we suddenly realised that wasn't the place to be when you were drunk.

I had about 4 glasses of wine last night, which I assure you was plenty to get me drunk (which I was), I can just choose to be drunk or not whenever I am drunk...it just takes mental effort to do the latter.

Ah, I remember. Sorry about that.
"Trick or treat?" lovely Cambridge peeps. Happy Halloween. Mwah ha ha ha!

He he he... they weren't Freshers, they're at Bournemouth- so no need to worry about bumping into them around and feeling embarrassed! Oh, and I bet you'll report that to Clareifornication, if someone else hasn't already... although apparently a guy on I staricase fancies me, and has pictures of me in his room, which has been reported. It's disturbing! Anyway, to paraphrase my earlier phrase, dancing with two rather fit girls at once isn't something that happens (to me at any rate) every day!

Hate Clare Cellars. Hate. I live next to them. So noisy. I try to sleep. They stop me. Hate them. Grr. Rant.
I doubt you live 4 floors above them though...

You can't live four floors above them... it's underneath the chapel. You can live six feet under them, like an old master who is currently under the concrete somewhere...

Oh, and I really must appologise to you, Ambellina. You see, I'm a techie, and am partially responsible for rigging the sound system... if it makes you feel any better, the cellars have made my tinnitus worse...
I finally have proper internet connection so now I can waste hours of term time on here like a true Cambridge TSRer. It was quite funny - at Trin matric din, our master told us not to waste time online and see our years at Trinity slip through our fingers...I wonder if he knows about TSR
Who is going to go to that talk on muscles by Huxley later tonight? What about Ian Parkin's lecture tomorrow night? I think it would be rude for me not to go tomorrow...as he is supervising me until 20 minutes before his talk!
Am quite tempted to go to both but I fear I will actually make it to neither. I'm so unmotivated...
