I am going to start university in September and I need some tips that will help me with note taking and must haves in your bags and similar tips. Any tips?

Paper and pens. That's all you should need for lectures, in certain seminars you may do off the cuff presentations but you would be told about them beforehand if you were expected to bring extra stationary. Don't stress too much over taking notes. All slides are put online and can be accessed at any time. Lecturers are really helpful, if you can't find extra reading on a topic then just ask!
If you're doing a science based degree then I'd say lectures and things are slightly more important than a degree where you could just read various books in order to gain the information. But it depends on how you learn.
Also in first year, DO NOT FEEL BAD FOR MISSING LECTURES. Obviously aim to go to the majority, but don't put loads and loads of pressure on yourself in first year, just create those habits that will accommodate your learning in your second or third year.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
