I'm good with balancing equations and have a fond memory of the periodic table. For the big 6 markers however (these are marked with a * in this post), I feel you need a good enough understanding of it that you could literally tell someone "on the spot" how it works. Memorizing all the chemical terms: ("Thermal decomposition*(For calcium carbonate), React, Reduction, Distillation*, Fractional Distillation*, Bonds, Molecules, Compounds,Soluble,Solvent,Solution, reactant, product, electron configuration...many more but I will leave you to revise those), and this is how I would imagine the 6 markers would work best, anyway. Keeping it succinct is always a good idea too.
