I want to get an A* in English. On average I get about 27/40 on reading and writing. Is there anyway to improve that. My exam board is WJEC . Any advice is appreciated

Being dyslexic i really struggle with English, although my grades are slightly above average I still feel as if I'm pretty bad at English. So although this advice is not coming from an A* student i thought it might help . I think the number1 thing you need to do when approaching any text is look for literacy devices, this appears to come up on any exam boards mark scheme along with including structure in your answer: metaphors similes and the effect of these, these tend to be the easiest to spot.
