I thought it would be a good idea to create a UKL Law Society. It can be for anyone with an interest in the law (such as watching TV programmes like Kavanagh QC, Judge John Deed and Waking The Dead), or studying law.
Hopefully if this society gets under way we can end up having nice debates on recent legal issues which you may have or are going to discuss in class or with other like-minded people.
Why not post about what exactly within law you are interested in? Personally I am interested in IPR/IT and its similar topics such as cybercrime and e-commerce.
If there is something on a legal topic you would like to find out, instead of posting a thread, which only certain users will see, you could use the signatures as another way of getting at people.

Events including seminars and conferences many are public and most are free. Ones which charge is usually a small donation, some are members only:
I would love to join. I have recently decided upon a law conversion course after I graduate and although i may not make it into the MC, i am totally dedicated to a career in law
I don't know if anyone remembers this, but back in the UKL days somebody (at Oxford, I think) posted quite a lengthy law reading list. Would anyone happen to have it, or know whether the UKL archives are still accessible?
or know whether the UKL archives are still accessible?
Providing they are no more than 2 years old the thread should be accessible, just finding out the title of the thread in the search function. Have you remembered since posting?
