# Will I get marked down for using a different method? EDEXCEL FP1 Watch

1. For linear interpolation, can you find the equation of the line, after using the two x values you are give to find the corresponding y values with the equation you are given, and find where it intersects the x axis (by replacing y with 0) for the first approximation, instead off using similar triangles, which I find harder?

Thanks in advance, this is for my FP1 paper tomorrow.
