What are jobs that help people and get out and about in the community? I.e. Don't just stay in one place all the time (like an office or lab or a hospital ward)

Housing association type work could be a good idea. You are not always helping people though, sometimes it can be quite the opposite

    Nursing and occupational therapy
Do those occupations tend to stay in one place like a hospital ward or something?

I'm looking for something that involves a fair bit of getting around.

They d involve time writing notes in an office but otherwise you can work in community services where you spend most of your time out and about.
