Know or have knowledge of the key quotes and how they link to the various themes of the play. You also need to say why the writer has used this/made a character say a certain thing, what effect the writer wants to have on the reader. Exploring different interpretations of scenes/characters will get you the higher grades and so does a little bit of own knowledge (I think you get marks for O/K on AQA).
Make flash cards on two quotes of each character portraying a particular theme. For example:
