So I called in sick on Wednesday (Genuine sickness, I couldn't stand, I could barely breathe, my head felt like it was stuffed with rocks, I collapsed at my first job and had to be sent home from that and spent the rest of the day in bed.) I usually work 5-9 and my boyfriend called minutes after I'd collapsed at my first job to let them know I wouldn't be in. (I was unconscious when he called and they said it was fine and they'd pass the message on)
So I stayed in bed for the rest of the night and rested and got myself better.. get into work the next day and find that all the overtime I'd been given had been removed and I was banned from doing overtime for a month..
Apparently it's company policy whenever someone calls in sick..
I can understand they don't want me working loads of hours when i've just been ill but i'll be fully recovered within a week. A month seems really excessive to me..
I know they don't have to provide me with overtime but since they're always understaffed (especially on weekends when alot of my overtime was- I'm contracted to weekdays) surely they'd want all the help they could get? Or am I missing something here?

You are missing the fact its for their benefit, maybe its a punishment for you, but also it wont overload you. You are still on trial and hey will see how you go.
